Scott Campbell told me at a Psychonauts thing last night that he thinks your site (razputin.net) is really pretty. Then I said it was being redesigned and he got worried. He may (or may not) send you an angry email when it comes back up pending its prettiness.

Like I said before, I don't read superhero comics much, but I do recognize the significance of the Fantastic Four on that genre. Regardless of only having bought one Fantastic Four comic in my life (and it's the one by indie cartoonist James Sturm of The Golem's Mighty Swing), I think the franchise deserves better. I also just the concept of a small group of family and friends as superheroes; I think there's intrinsically more material there to work with than with just some other generic guy who goes and fights bad guys. I'm really disappointed this movie won't be better (again, despite my lack of personal investment in the property).

Man, I really liked the driving school part. That was some of the most fun I had with that game. It was the same with Crazy Taxi for me. The Crazy Box training missions were far more entertaining than the game itself when I played it.

Well I certainly agree about the trailer looking like crap. It's about the worst trailer I've seen in years. It left me with not the slightest bit of enthusiasm for the film. I hold out no hope for the film being fun in any sense, but I suspect it will certainly be mindless.

I'm not sure what you're talking about in this post, but as far as your original one goes, saying that the reason the movie looks shitty is because the series failed to inspire some great director is ludicrous. By that logic, I'd suspect Alan Moore to be one of the shittiest writers around, based on schlock like the From Hell adaptation and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen adaptation. After all, his series clearly didn't inspire some great director to make better adaptations. And what do you mean "like me a huge fan of F4"? I thought you explicitly noted you weren't a fan of it, except for Dr. Doom? For my part, I don't read many superhero comics so I can't claim to be any huge Fantastic Four fan, but I would never think to suggest that the property is inherently less capable of inspiring a good adaptation than any other property. And considering I've never used "those words" before as far as I'm aware, your witty jab didn't exactly tell me off.

I know, but it deflated my enthusiasm enough that I didn't feel compelled to keep playing. It wasn't even my copy of the game, so it's not as though I didn't get a sufficient return on any monetary investment.

Emotes communicate across factions, but only with the generic text emotes are programmed to say. You can't actually communicate in any other way. It used to be possible to type with leet-style numeric/symbolic stuff since those still came through but with the latest patch Blizzard disabled that too (thank God--the last thing I want is my screen filled up with that shit).

Are you talking about the RC mission requiring you to kill all those couriers? If so, that was quite definitely one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do in a Video game. It's the point at which I stopped playing the game.
