Funny you should mention Painkiller...
-
Haha that was classic. I didn't do it until I was like 2/3 done with the level but it was still great.
-
Oh man, a classic times a billion.

I'm not going to respond because I just finished a sort of long post on the AG forums and I'm out of practice writing absurdly long posts so it has exhausted me. But I would like to say that I don't see any reason not to read into this stuff. God knows we're starved these days for games with stories that even CAN support this kind of discussion, honestly.

Start considering it immediately and then conclude the considerations with the intent of purchase.

Man that would be fucking crazy, and kind of awesome if in fact intentional. I'm not sure though. But it would be crazy.

Idle Thumbs: Home of Internet Hipster Consumer Whores!

I have seen the comic, but I have not in fact seen the t-shirt. If I had extra money, it would be purchased. That is awesome.

There are varying viewpoints. Many hardware reviewers suggest sticking with AGP, mainly because AMD's Athlon64 chips do not support PCI-express. When I got my computer I definitely knew I wanted an Athlon64 over a Pentium, so the tradeoff was more than worth it for me. As it stands, PCI-express is the more advanced standard but current graphics cards, even the most expensive ones, are not capable of taking advantage of the difference between PCI-e and AGP.

The internet has made many people ridiculously accustomed to getting practically everything entertainment-related for free.
-
Maybe some people can pull that off but from an artist's perspective I would feel more comfortable giving people something concrete for their contribution rather than simply asking for free money. I mean there's nothing wrong with accepting free money if it's offered but I don't know if I would ask for it up front.

That's actually not the real subject of this thread, it's one of the two auxilliary ones. -

It certainly isn't the type of game that sells itself. At first glance it could pass for some kind of kid's game, but it's definitely not for kids. Some of the levels near the end of the game have some pretty creepy stuff in them, and it's not the type of thing I'd want to be playing as a kid. That puts it in an awkward position of being for an older audience but looking like it's for a younger audience. I suspect there are a lot of people who would probably enjoy it if they gave it a chance, but who might pass it up simply based on its cartoony style. It's a relief that it made the top 10. It definitely seems like a word-of-mouth game to me, though, the kind whose sales will best be judged over the long term. It's really lame that other than these weekly sales charts it's very difficult to guage a game's long-term sales if the game in question isn't a million+ seller. -

Last year's E3 had its fair share of terrible incidents. But there are oh so many others! -

Every time I have been to Los Angeles, something terrible has happened. That place freaks me out. -
Oh man, you busted out The PC Gamer. (By the way, he would never be caught dead with a console. Unless it was modded with extreme hardware and neon lights. And even then, it's a Gamecube. It would have to run Linux before that guy would give it a second look.)

You mean the Bobby Zilch dance?

He's definitely not Paco Vink.

Nice one... Very witty...
