If we DO accept that games don't come with wacky crap that is too big to fit in a game box (and honestly, game boxes these days are hardly bigger than DVD cases except in depth), I'd much rather have a DVD case. They're more durable, they display on a shelf very well, and I don't have to worry about it being destroyed when it arrives in the mail.

They, uh, they're just there to tell you what we cover. :shifty:

Geez, I remember when this came out. There was a demo (or possibly the full version?) in PC Gamer, but I never even installed it for some reason.

I went to EB yesterday and finally picked up my PC pre-order.

Haha, that's actually pretty good. I think the music, the piano playing, and the guy at the end with the rose petals (or confetti or whatever) are what did it for me.

The original Ico box art is pretty much my favorite thing in the world.

THE POLAR EXPRESS WAS A LANDMARK IN MOTION PICTURE HISTORY. ROBERT ZEMECKIS REALLY HIT LEVEL 17 WITH THAT ONE

Half-Life 2: Damn, I wish they placed these stupid loading screens better, or actually not at all.

Hey, it still had power when we found it the next morning after leaving it GDC.

I drop my phone all the time because I am an idiot, but it still works fine. It's the workhorse of mobile phones. It calls people and receives calls and is mysteriously far larger than most phones that have a dozen times that many features. The thing is built like a tank.

Wooooooooooo

...and how many cell phones actually exude any kind of personality, and is that important at all in something like a telephone?

I admittedly haven't seen much of those channels either, but I never got that vibe. Usually they just say "creator of such games as Full Throttle and Grim Fandango", they don't even always use the term "adventure games". Again, though, I've only seen a few segments with Tim. Uh, I might just be a dumb bastard, but Schafer is one of the few designers in the game industry I WOULD describe as "creative".

Are there any PC games out that push current hardware and are actually really good games? Now that I THINK I have my PC finally working and am armed with a ludicrously powerful Radeon X800XT I want to see what it can do. I don't mean, for example, Doom 3. I played it and it was fun but it's not worth buying for me. I also already have HL2. I'm looking for suggestions like HL2 (except not HL2, like I said) and World of Warcraft, in which I am now able to turn up way more options and it looks incomprehensibly drop-dead gorgeous. Are there any other really high-quality and technically advanced PC games out there right now? There may not be and that's no big deal, I'm just wondering.

You've seen through my ruse!!

I don't think my phone could possibly have fewer features unless it did not send and receive calls.

Yeah, seriously. I mean, Poloarium, Mr. Driller, and Pictochat??? (Nothing against those games at all--but narrative they are not)

Of course, since it's all speculation anyway, it's very difficult to actually judge that somebody is reading too much into something.
