That's kind of what Nintendo actually does. That's why it doesn't really bother me that they use their old characters so much. I mean, their strength is never going to be deep character development or anything, and in a certain type of video game that stuff is totally unnecessary. So they fool around with really interesting and awesome gameplay and then stick Mario or Wario or Kirby or whatever on top of it and people buy it. It's too bad the industry has to work that well but it doesn't bother me in Nintendo's case because Nintendo really does ensure that their games are fresh and inventive.

Advance Wars DS: Holy shit this game is fun, and the AI seems improved. Stylus control should have been better; I just use the D-pad. NO ONLINE

Yeah, but it's not actually a given yet to most people, even though it should be. I agree that the title of the site isn't a completely accurate statement but I think the point remains intact.

Yes No (what )

Fuck off

September 13, I think.

Hahaha, excellent. EDIT: Also horrible due to being true.

I pretty much just mean "People who buy lots of games and who actually follow the industry" which despite what the internet may make you think is actually a very small percentage of gamers.

SEE!? I'm telling you!

It also says so on the box.

What didn't you like about the GBA Sonic games? I haven't played them but I've heard good things and have meant to check them out.
-
I don't know if you've read any previews of the game lately, but almost all of them have said stuff like "It's very impressive how much the team has been improving the framerate and crispness of the graphics every time we see the game", so maybe it's just getting better.

I don't think I ever used Photoshop until version 4. (Layers still made my head explode though.)

It's blowing my mind how much amazing stuff is on that list. I'm just about to leave to go pick up Advance Wars DS and Nintendogs.

I was talking to Jake the other day and I came to the conclusion that Allard, Kutaragi, and Iwata need their own sitcom. These fucking guys, they're like the three stooges of the video game industry and yet are also three of its most powerful figures. Allard would be the not-as-suave-as-he-thinks guy with a big ego, Kutaragi would be the easily-angered smart one with no social graces, and Iwata is the lovable goofball who never quite knows what's going on. I mean, that's what they already are, someone might as well film them in the same room.

I was as shocked as anyone!

The sad tale of how I ended up with an N-Gage...
Chris replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
You might be in the N-Gage Tomb Raider credits. -
I just wanted him to acknowledge that the guest was even saying stuff. He'd occasionally say "So you're saying that..." but it was never actually what the guest was saying and they were dumb observations. True, most talk show hosts aren't particularly insightful, but then most talk show guests are just there to push a new movie or something. The guy on this one clearly had interesting things to say. It felt more like an "interview" than a "talk show".

The revolution is not measured in money, but by the sweat and toil of the dedicated revolutionaries who throw themselves headlong into the cause. Oh, the Revolution. No, not really, but GameCube launched at $200 and that doesn't seem unlikely for Revolution. I'd be quite surprised to see Revolution surpass an intial price point of $250.

I've watched the first few modules. Does the interviewer ever start asking intelligent questions? I mean it was sort of good but all he really ever said was "Hey can you make this jump?" and "Hey, people are still shooting at us". It's a clever concept but I wanted to see him actually interact with his guest. I understand that you're in a video game, you don't need to point it out to me. It makes the whole thing less funny to me that he focuses on it so much.

I honestly doubt that's the reason. Nintendo is still making a profit, unlike Sony and Microsoft's game divisions, and I can't see this actually helping Zelda's sales. A lot of people are foolishly going to sell their GameCubes between now and the release in order to help save for new consoles. I mean, maybe your speculation is why they specifically delayed it until April 1, but I don't think it's why it was significantly delayed in general.

They didn't make him into a warrior. The warrior came from within.

It sort of did, didn't it?

Yes, of course. EDIT: Oops, didn't realize there were two pages. This was in response to the query as to whether standard composite AV cables would be included with the $400 one.
