One of the artists put some of his stuff of the cancelled C&C3 project on his portfolio. The site has gone down since he posted the pics, but a fansite has some copies. C&C3 was to be the real sequel to Tiberian Sun, using the C&C: Generals engine. A concept video of the game is still playing as part of a montage in the lobby of EA-LA (a blurry photo of which not so long ago stirred up rumors). At least it's nice to be able to look at what could have been. Note the awesome looking sandbags!

Yes, apart from the fact that it happened like two weeks ago.

a) If meant in very general terms, then yes. If meant literally, then no, I wasn't there. c) All of the above rendered irrelevant by the fact that Anna Nicole Smith is ugly.

Ummm, yeah. That was at G-phoria. She also flashed a lot of boob that night, apparently.

I think it's always pretty lame when people say "stop trying to make it work, no system is perfect". I agree with the latter part, but it's clearly possible to make things suck less and it's not naive to believe so. Just compare the democracies in Holland, the USA, Italy and umm, the Republic of Congo. Quite a few differences there.

Nice lighting. DirectX 9?

Hmmm, I think that's a texture from Quake.

This is the best viral marketing campaign ever. Argh. Anyway... I just checked and saw I can give away 6 invitations. Just let me know.

As far as I'm aware, it's a game with no end scenario, just like September 12. "Gameplay is the message" is the idea here, though the Madrid game leaves things more open to interpretation than September 12 (and was hastily created after the terrorist attack in Madrid, so it's much simpler).

I'm working on a feature about the gaming academics for Idle Thumbs (with a different approach from that of GameSpot). It's too bad that a feature about academics immediately turned into something so dry and formal, like it has to. It's still fairly interesting though and it covers all the major issues.

What happens after a soccer match when adrenaline runs high in the changing rooms? This.

I think it should have been easy by now for IGN to whip up a Fable review. They've probably seen half of the game already so it should be easy to see what's been kept in, what's been thrown out, and how it holds together. I haven't kept up with Fable at all, but still I got to see and/or play the game three times in the last year or-so and found myself chemically inconvenienced at Microsoft's open bar. The press has been allowed to see quite a lot of the game pre-release.

As you probably know, GTA: San Andreas will feature three cities, connected by highways, with desert and forests in between the cities. These areas will feature their own sets of missions. Here's what it's going to look like: It's nice to see some shots that look decidedly different from the previous two games. Oh, and seen this?

Umm, okay. So its exactly like Family Guy, with exactly the same kind of characters, except with the one twist that dad is some kind of super agent? I mean, it sounds good, but holy shit it's like they took the Family Guy template and painted a few new ideas over it.

You mean Broussard? He was just commenting on Doom 3 engine vs. Unreal 3 engine.

There's, umm, rumors that DNF uses the Doom3 engine, has been rebuilt from scratch, and is in fact not too far from completion. Yes, rumors about DNF! How about that.

You may want to go to gametrailers.com, scroll down a little, and watch the Spy Fiction trailer. It's really quite good in a weird way. You'll see.
