  1. Pschonaughts

Whoa whoa whoa stop right there buddy. Murdock is the weapon of confusion.
  2. Wellll the premise hasn't changed that much. New Caprica is now essentially what Caprica was in season 1 and Kobol was in the first half of season 2 (though the events on New Caprica will clearly be more than a B-story). BTW it's great how they used this opportunity to shuffle things around. They moved another Galactica character to Pegasus; Helo as a more visible bridge officer makes sense; Gaeta gets to be more interesting as a Baltar assistant; tortured Six gets killed (one less to worry about = less confusion and more focus); etc. I think a lot of supporting characters are in places where they have much greater potential for season 3. Plus Adama gets a hilarious moustache. I should update my avatar.
  3. Cars

All those rumors are now rendered obsolete by Disney's acquisition of Pixar, and Lassater's rise to uberboss of all Disney animation and imagineering studios. (It seems more likely he'll choose a Disney studio to refocus on traditional animation.)
  4. Heh yes. This episode lends itself well to two viewings. First time I was just going :eek: and the second time I could more enjoy the scenes themselves in a way that you normally would.
  5. I'm over the shock now and the more I think about the episode the more I love it. Holy crap.
  6. The big names in gaming

If you're talking about people with historic significance in gaming then Carmack is that. But if you're talking about people who shape gaming and will continue to do so in the future, Carmack is either out or you also include whoever the project leaders are for RenderWare, Source, and UT3. By the way, looking at some of the names in this thread: Fumito Ueda (ICO, Shadow of the Colossus) Goichi Suda (Killer7, Contact) Atsushi Inaba (Viewtiful Joe, Okami) Keita Takahashi (Katamari) Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Rez, Lumines, Meteos, EEE, 99 Nights) Hirofumi Matsuoka (the old Metroids, WarioWare) Shigeru Miyamoto (...yeah) ... Western developers are pussies?
  7. Balls the size of planets. I fully expected the election and settlement issues to play out like they did, but what they did at the end was just ... wow. I need a couple of days before I can really start to love what they've done, if that makes any sense...
  8. Game designer publicity photos

Funny how everyone on a segway now reminds me of Gob Bluth, regardless of appearance.
  9. Hot titles you're waiting for

Oh man, I played that. What?
  10. The big names in gaming

What is Tom Hall doing now that made you say that?
  11. Game designer publicity photos

Okay, how about Garriot versus this:
  12. The big names in gaming

Yeah who is that guy. Didn't he design Burnout Revenge?
  13. The big names in gaming

Hmmm. Since "will shape the future of gaming" is one of your criteria, I would remove John Romero and even John Carmack. I know that's blasphemy to some, but I really don't think Carmack has had a great influence on game development in recent years. I'd add Raph Koster, Gabe Newell and Fumito Ueda. Goichi Suda (Killer7 and Contact) and Atsushi Inaba (Viewtiful Joe, Okami) are worth keeping an eye on. I also thought Brian Reynolds might belong in that list, but I'm not too sure. Hal Barwood and Noah Falstein (Fate of Atlantis) definitely do not.
  14. Seriously, what's the deal? (And what's the deal with airplane food? And women! What's the deal with women?) Video GameSpot Rumor Control It looks a bit huge and lame, though some of the ideas from that video are nice I guess? According to a recent interview with Peter Moore, a final version of this thing is likely to carry the Xbox brand. It's of course a little convenient that a 1-year old stylish proof of concept suddenly appears a week before an official announcement. I bet on March 4 they'll show a slightly slimmer and better looking version that makes everyone go "wow this actually looks smaller and nicer in comparison!!!". Hooray for stealth marketing.
  15. I never thought I'd see the day...

Erm isn't the renewable energy sources thing just a political red herring? I can't imagine it being anything else.
  16. Interactive hint games

DOSBox was the precursor to the Xbox released in 1996.
  17. Viral Market in this thread

You know what? I opened all threads on the forum, saw a post about "Russian brides" here and almost deleted it. Yeah.
  18. Interactive hint games

I suggest asking that at Adventure Gamers.
  19. Oscars

Oscar: He wins awards EVERY year. Amazing.
  20. Oscars

Are there any clips on the interweb?
  21. Heh so now they're just adding more popular actors to their ensemble of Cylon models? Patrick Stewart would make a nice Number Four.
  22. Yeah totally agreed. The first half of season 2 I thought was great. But the episodes after the resurrection ship trilogy were really mediocre. It wasn't unwatchable or anything, just far from the usual standard, and sometimes quite a bit disappointing. Moore said they had a lot of difficulties adjusting to a 20 episode season and he pretty much dragged himself through the mud for the episode Black Market, so I'm hoping they'll have a more consistent season 3.

  24. Castlevania DS

The transparent plastic is also a little more cheaper looking.
  25. Snakes on a Plane (and Gnarls Barkley)

Apparently Samuel Jackson is doing this movie simply because its so ridiculous. I heard they wanted to change the title to something less silly but then Jackson flipped out and they kept the original one.
