I'm surprised by the level of response to this thread...

DUDE!!!! There's so few people I know - outside of one or two Dutch friends - who enjoy progressive house. That's totally awesome. Let me know if you ever upload a mix somewhere. Are you also subscribed to the Frisky Radio podcast? It's recently been brought back from the dead.In fact the only other person I know who likes this music is American McGee (who allowed me to leech some great mixes off his server ). Prog house (as well as techno/electro, minimal techno, etc.) are my first love, though I have an eclectic taste in music... jazz, hiphop, triphop, d&b, alt rock, j-pop, country (well, just Johnny Cash really) and so on.

I played a bit of Cannon Fodder on my Ericsson K750i and I cried. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't use the tiny joystick to aim correctly. I also tried some Joust and Sensible Soccer and cried again (and played the violin). However I did play tons of Tetris during an unbelievingly boring programming conference. In my opinion there are only two kinds of good mobile games. The really ridiculously simple ones (Tetris, but better yet Snake) or alternate reality or adventure games that don't really rely too much on the screen or the controls. That last category seems largely unexplored. In the near future, you could also imagine a genre of, essentially, MMOs or MUDs. (Technically you could already do sort of a half-assed web-based game one using WAP I guess?)

Spaff, someone made a website, just for you. It's about cats. And it's about hitler. Enjoy. http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com/

Yeah. Works better with hamsters though.

Heh yes. The translator guy who put that in actually posted in the comments.

This weekend I played Mario Kart and the NSMB mini-games against some friends, and some Guitar Hero. Great fun. I also lost 3 euros playing analog texas hold'em.

Yeah, the "new game each Wednesday" thing in general is pretty sweet and is warming me up to buying a 360. It's good that Castle Crashers is going to be one of those games.

No no no brkl, every two minutes.

You know what's weird? Yesterday I was in a bar and there was the black girl from the photos of that controverial PSP black & white campaign. She happened to be friends with someone I was there with. Small world.

That is not a weird day at all Rusalka.
-
Um Wes. You might be acting kinda lame? Plz don't.

I think we're getting somewhere here.

Portal is fucking incredible. Is the price of Episode 2 going to be the same, or higher because of the stuff that comes with it? I mean, shiiiit.
-
That reminds me of another game concept. Evil Giraffe Leaf Eater: you eat all leaves off trees, so that there will be no leaves. And then some animals might die.
-
(Nope, also making them.) Camel Strike is of course the opposite of what we were talking about in the beginning of that conversation. Just having some fun.
-
Yeah I don't know what's up with Halo in general. It's cool, but hey kids, there are other games too.

i.e. It is fake.

Recent movies: Pirates, A Scanner Darkly, The Matador...
Marek replied to Moosferatu's topic in Movies & Television
I don't remember the ending, but I don't remember missing an ending either. What was it again? What really bugged me about the movie were the giant size Arial primary color title graphics each time they went to a new city. They gave me kind of a Sasha Nein reaction. I'm sorry my two movie comments so far have only been about the visuals. -

I have such trouble getting over A Scanner Darkly's visual style. The bits in the trailer look really good but when you actually view those first 24 minutes on IGN there's all these scenes in which large parts appear to have just been vectorized instead of traced by hand. It actually looks a bit cheap sometimes and makes me feel like I'm watching an FMV or photo collage adventure game. -
It's that special time of the year. Gaming news dry season.

Sounds like BS to me.
