    I'll be there.
  2. Idle Thumbs Brighton meetup 2012!

    I'll be there!
  3. I'm ebaying my Nintendo Wii along with a stack of games, as well as my slimline PS2 with a few games (including ICO, Space Channel 5, and God Hand). I'm also putting various individual items on sale. I've just posted Halo Reach Collector's Edition, with more to follow as I dig through my boxes of gaming stuff. Thought I'd shamelessly advertise it here! (sorry) You can view my auctions here.
  4. Ebaying my Wii, PS2, other gaming stuff

Added my Nintendo 3DS, plus a couple of assorted games...
  5. Ebaying my Wii, PS2, other gaming stuff

Cheap WoW Gold get it here! Gong gold goldblum! It does indeed include the actual game.
  6. Sid Meier's Civilization V

I'd be up for joining a multiplayer game. Have never done so with Civ!
  7. Glad to see this announced! Can't wait to play it. I had some role in helping The Cave get signed/funded at Sega and was one of the advisors to the execs during the greenlight meetings (which is a pretty cool situation to be in). I really like the multiple characters, as well as the cave being this metaphorical place within each of the stories.
  8. I totally know what you mean. Any time I fly into SF and look out the window I have a big Sim City moment.
  9. Anyone else think building a city in a mountain region might be fun as well (or near the base of a mountain or something)? http://game.idlemc.c...2.5237679169193 Lots of potential for terraces, tunnels, stairs, etc. Maybe also Jeff Goldblum as a Mount Rushmore thing.
  10. Wow there are tons of structures that I never noticed before on the normal map as they were made from one material. It's like seeing the matrix for the first time.
  11. ¬¬ oh man there's a tag for this now
  12. Incidentally that server also has some insane stuff on it. But I'd expect that from reddit.
  13. Woh, that is an amazing map. I don't know why I'm so impressed with the isometric perspective but I am. Is that an option for the thumb map?
  14. Awesome plan. This would make me come back and build again.
  15. Very swanky forums! Nice work
  16. Can anyone use Dreamweaver?

Just FYI, I read this entire thread. I use Notepad++ and am very happy with it.
  17. To the person (I forgot who) who claimed the latest housing plot: I accidentally destroyed your sign while removing the 'UNCLAIMED' one. The area is still yours!
  18. You should all check out my waterslide!
  19. It'd be cool to expand into the area behind thompsons' plot, so that the village grows around the Homebarrel grounds. Was thinking of constructing some stuff along the river there too.
  20. Oops. Ended up playing Minecraft for a full day, and then another half day. I guess I'm hooked. The house with the ship outside was the first thing I made. I then built a second house near Thumb square. I'm really enjoying the small scale decorating (e.g. building that little aquaduct) but maybe I'll go for something bigger next.
  21. I'm playing Minecraft basically for the first time today. After feeling super intimidated by all the amazing structures you guys have built, I started work on a shitty house neighboring what appears to be the giant monkey head from Monkey Island and StarmanDeluxe's Brickhaus. I might have squatted the Brickhaus for the first couple of nights. So how does /fly actually work? I'd like to go around and check out the things you are discussing in this thread.
  22. Idle Thumbs Progresscast #9

I like how sad and resigned Big Bird looks in that pic, like he's been forced to do this for a long time.
  23. Molyneux interview about 22 Cans

Excellent interviews (I read the ones on Eurogamer and GI.biz). Very honest and interesting. It's brave to leave the safety of MS/Lionhead after 15 years and start something completely new. I wish him all the best. Industry luminaries pondering how many more games they've got left in their career still feels new and strange. Miyamoto and Warren Spector were talking about this recently too. It will be very interesting to see what this pioneering generation of designers decides to do in a bunch of years when they get closer to retirement age.
  24. I also regularly listen to 3MA - if you have any interest in strategy games I highly recommend tuning in. It's one of the best gaming podcasts I know.
