Idle Thumbs 209: Ten Percent Success Rate
buntcake replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Anyone have a good link to the hilarious-sounding GTA V taxi driver videos? I can't seem to find any that don't have someone talking over it. -
Fantasy Life, a new 3DS game from Level-5 (the Professor Layton people) is due to be released October 24 in North America. This game's been out for a while in Japan and about a month or so in Europe and Australia, and it's being described as Animal Crossing with more of a combat/fantasy focus. Any other North American gamers excited for this? Any Japanese, European, or Australian players already enjoying it? Will I finally live my fantasy life as the world's most adorable blacksmith?

Super Smash Bros. (Spoiler: Snake Kills Ganondorf)

As a Toon Link main all through Brawl, I am mostly playing Little Mac and loving it. He's pretty much the opposite of Toon Link in every way which makes it kind of an adventure. I went into the game planning to get into Palutena or Wii Fit Trainer, but neither of them can match how fun Mac's raw power is. Overall probably the best entry in the series IMO. Online has been a blast and I'm looking forward to getting some friends over for 8-player. -
While playing through Bravely Default recently, I found myself looking on the internet for information on the game's robust class system, including information on some classes I hadn't unlocked yet, and strategies on how to best combine class abilities. I always feel a little bad doing this, because I feel like I'm subverting the developers' intentions and potentially ruining the experience for myself. Do developers understand or even expect that players, especially experienced RPG players, are going to look ahead for this information? Do you personally try to avoid FAQs, guides, walkthroughs, or outside sources of information on games? Is the discovery and experimentation part of the fun for you?

Cool! Added you. Pop into my town some time!

I'm glad the 3DS is finally building its catalog of solid RPG titles that every Nintendo handheld kind of inexplicably has.

I just picked up this game and a 3DS about a month ago and am loving both, does anyone still play? My Friend Code is 1908-0446-7213 if anyone wants to pal around or exchange items or something.

Hi! I'm a Thumbs listener and play mostly whatever can run on my PC or my 3DS these days. I'm trying to find some cool people who are still playing the 3DS Animal Crossing to pal around with, and the Idle Forums seemed like the perfect place!
