I had a great time in the raid last week, if we're doing Crota this weekend then count me in! I've been using this Chrome plugin replacement for the Destiny app called Tower Ghost (I think there's an android version as well). If you move stuff in and out of your vault alot then it's a really good interface for doing that

That's 11AM pacific/7PM GMT, right? We can easily find two people on DestinyLFG to fill out the group. It shouldn't take us more than two hours to go through Vault of Glass.

Trials of Osiris is really intense, it was great fun. I wish I hadn't wasted my coins or I would've had 9 wins as well. Still, that's a really awesome mode. I'm looking forward to doing more of it sometime.

You can get by at 29 with a good group, but at that level anything with a sword will one-shot you. Since the DLC came out, the Vanguard/Crucible gear you can buy with marks has 36 light by default, so if you're rank 2 with either faction you could probably pick up something that'd push you to level 30. You can also ascend an exotic piece of gear with an exotic shard to give you 42 light.

By the way, Trials of Osiris has just started and I want to give it a shot. Any other hardcore PVPers want to team up? I'm level 33 using Gunslinger spec and Thorn as my primary.

The weapons only drop on hard mode raids. Mainly the loot value from VoG right now is the checkpoints and chests that can drop exotics, and the armour set if you want to ascend it. Mostly though it's just one of the most fun parts of the game and it'd be cool to get people in who have never had a chance to play it. The hard mode takes alot of coordination that wouldn't be appropriate for people on their first run. I'd be happy to play on Saturday. I know Horza has been playing Destiny so I'll ask him if I see him on IRC. If it comes to it we could get one or two people from DestinyLFG to fill out the group, or just go in with five.

At least look at what the person is doing in Destiny first. Whenever I do a raid on DestinyLFG, someone always jumps into the party to start talking to his friend, and it's really annoying when six of us are trying to call out oracles and one guy is taking bong rips. If you don't know, it's better to message someone before you jump into their group.

I don't know about other modes, but the Crucible gives alot more loot now. They also doubled the experience/marks you get from each match. Oh man, I was grinning for that whole section, it was brilliant.

Those keys you had a chance to pick up from the chests this week? I just used one at the end of Prison of Elders, I got a legendary auto rifle AND Thunderlord. That big chest doesn't mess around.

This thread on Reddit has the locations of all the chests. They're honestly pretty fun to farm. There's another important trick for getting loot from them: If you leave the area and come back, you can open the chest again as long as you still have the Ether Key buff. Usually you have enough time to loot it three times. The chests also have a chance to drop Treasure Keys, which are used to get loot from the weekly Arenas in House of Wolves. But mostly, it's going to be really fun popping all those engrams tomorrow. I've completely filled my vault to the brim, and I've got an alt with a full inventory of new engrams.

The Queen's Wrath event is back in the tower with new bounties. Looks like you can get some early rep for the new vendors and do a new public event.

When I saw the name "Dennis Dyack" on this page I had it confused in my head with "Derek Smart", although I quickly realised that functionally speaking, they're pretty much interchangeable.

I really like The Undying Mind, the PS4 exclusive one. Unfortunately because of the section where you fight the Precursor Vex it's the longest strike in the game, so when people get it in matchmaking they instantly drop out.

When I first downloaded the game it crashed on startup. I briefly enjoyed the meta nature of my problem before I realised it meant that I actually couldn't play the game.
