  1. I'm getting pretty close to the end. How exactly did you duplicate your save file in order to get multiple endings? I can't find a copy function in the loading screen (unless I'm blind) Also is there anything I should keep in mind for making sure to get the "real" ending? I already know about the "three thirds" thing. Edit: Just beat it. Holy crap, my body was so tensed up during the whole last boss sequence that I kind of seized up and shook during the credits. I've never felt that way during a game before.
  2. Both play a part. The stone changes how it reacts. Insight effects what you can see.
  3. This game is actually making it hard for me to sleep, not because I'd rather be playing (well partially because of that) but because its friggin creepy! I need to watch some cartoons to calm myself down now.
  4. How do you get the oaths? I have the tune tool already.
  5. I finally got coop to work last night after quitting and restarting the game. Helped take out the NG+ Cleric Beast and Gascoigne a few times. It's nice cause you get a ton of souls/insight and don't lose anything for dying. Gonna head into the snake woods with the RE4 enemies after work today.
  6. Another favourite moment (I have a lot) In a game with tangled masses of snake, legless villagers, and something called a "vacuous spider", THIS made me nope the fuck out for some reason.
  7. That was one of my favourite moments so far. I was just walking around farming old areas and I was suddenly in combat, and the other NPC that shows up to help was awesome.

An idle client would have 0 impact on the servers. It wouldn't be sending any requests so the server wouldn't have to send any responses. It's likely they send a regular ping to check if the client is still running/online, though it's more likely the client would be sending these rather than the server. Even if the server is pinging the client then they'd just see an idle client as a disconnected one. For an MMO or any other synchronous multiplayer this would be identical to pulling out your internet cable mid-session. When you resume you should be back in a menu or see a "disconnected" prompt or something. For asynchronous games like Bloodborne it doesn't seem like it'd be too difficult to just resume the session seamlessly. I wonder if it would have the same connection problems if you pulled the cord then put it back.
  9. Some weapons scale based on Arcane or Bloodtinge so increasing them can increase damage. Arcane supposedly has an effect on weapon buffs too.

The rest feature is fantastic, it's a shame there are hiccups but I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed in a patch. As long as the console OS throws some kind of restore event to the game then it can re-initialize whatever feature is spotty. They developed and released the game without being able to test the feature so it's only natural that it could cause problems, especially in an always-online game like Bloodborne. I'm wondering if other games are having issues, like Destiny for instance.
  11. Ah, the rest feature could explain it, I've been using it constantly since the patch. I'll quit out of the game and try again after work. Oh, best moment so far was getting the mysterious stone from the guy in the forbidden woods. He said something about going to the right of the grand cathedral but I was really surprised when I got there.
  12. I have a new favourite weapon. I've gotten the hang of Ludwig's Holy Blade and haven't looked back. I can take out the giants in the cathedral ward with 2 hits now. Has anyone else had trouble finding multiplayer sessions? I tried both local and global search for about 15 minutes each and couldn't connect. I have a good internet speed and the messages/phantoms show up so I know I'm playing online. I really wanna help somebody kill some bosses but can't.
  13. So, this happened to me. (Minor spoiler for the third boss)
  14. Yes, Father Gascoigne is the worst. I finally beat him by spamming molotovs in the last phase. He's really the "YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE GUN" fight if you haven't already. Also, I didn't pay enough attention to a certain item description that would have helped me beat him.
  15. Is that the only way to get new weapons? It's streamlined, which is nice, but I like the mystery of picking up gear off a dead enemy, especially unique weapons or armor.
  16. Also, the Cleric Beast dropped some kind of badge or emblem, I forget the exact name, does anybody know what it's for?
  17. Can you use the oil flasks in conjunction with the molotovs? I tried this on the Cleric Beast but then BOTH my molotovs missed so I couldn't tell. If anyone is looking for an oil flask in the first area btw there's one being guarded by some crows in the courtyard where you fight the big guy banging on the door (if I remember correctly).
  18. Kojima to leave Konami after MGS V

Does Konami or KojiPro own the trademark for Metal Gear? Could Konami hypothetically release future Metal Gear games without (or KojiPro's) approval?
  19. Nobody expects the Dragon Age Inquisition

Just finished the game, that post credits scene really throws the lore for a loop. I can't want to see how they build on that in DLC or a sequel. My final playtime was over 120 hours (dunno where I found the time) and I tried to do everything. My quest log and war table were both empty when I went into the final battle.
  20. Recently completed video games

Just finished Dragon Age: Inquisition. I honestly didn't think I'd find the motivation necessary to sink that much time into anything. I was a completionist (as much as I could be) so my final play time was somewhere north of 120 hours. That post-credits scene threw me for a loop though. Kinda forces you to recontextualize a lot of stuff and gets me excited for DLC/DA4.
  21. I was just telling a coworker about those terrifying commercials the other day. They suffer from some typical 90s/00s cheesiness but I remember how much they freaked out 10 year old me.
  22. I should probably stop buying underwear from Costco I guess...
  23. I lost it at the Dunwalltimore joke. I was on public transit. Everyone was staring. I hope you're happy.
  24. I'll use a soft G the day we start calling it a Giraffics Interchange Format. I will concede OS X though. https://danielmiessler.com/blog/what-does-os-x-say-when-you-ask-it-to-pronounce-itself-video/
  25. An email I sent to Giantbomb

Fingers crossed for Patrick becoming a full time Thumb. Yeah I know that's not going to happen.
