    Target has a 15% coupon on electronics going around - including ps, Xbox and wii.

    I'm so tempted to get on the Mario kart wagon if I hadn't bought a car yesterday

    It's through their cartwheel app and expires tomorrow. People are cashing in on ps and Xbox gift cards at reduced price to use online. Probably would work for steam gcs too

    i do get the anti-liquid sentiment a little.

     

    i think Eternal Envy is an awful person who perpetuates bad mannered online toxicity.  I suspect that c9 as a team told him to grow up/cool it on the twitch streams, which i appreciate, because in the months leading up to TI he pretty much shut up on the hate

     

     

     

    as for Liquid - i think bulba has always been overrated, but attractive, re:ti3 VS lgd.  i think they are a much improved team w/o ixmike & fluff, TC is whatever - easily switched with another 1spot

     

    however, my attraction to watching liquid games this year is qojqva.  He is playing out of this world, extremely dynamic lord use, good positioning, big plays

    My cars turbo is shot. Est 3k to fix unless I find the parts on the cheap. Probably will spend Monday work morning scouring the Internet or calling junk yards

     

    as a life update i continued to drive the car...no catastrophic failure.  everyone quoted around 3k to fix, nope to that

     

    and yesterday bought a new car.  it was a bitter sweet thing since i loved the old one very much...but now its someone else's problem.  It actually turned out as i had hoped, the computer codes didnt quite pinpoint what was broken...just something wasn't right.  And since they did not drive my car they had to guess at o2 sensor or something to cause the fault.  so i got the blue book value  :tup:

     

    so win for me, sorry not sorry for them.  

     

     

    and now its 5am and cant sleep, should prove to be a productive day

    The only thing you'd get out of a compendium you actually need to play the game is progress towards unlocking all the game modes. Other than that it's all cosmetic and throwing money at Valve.

     

    i thought the special game modes - 1v1 & Death Match were available to everyone

     

    *Squawkins opens up at lvl4 compendium

     

    the immortal items can be bought outright (inscribed, dont fall for the stripped-of-gems white ones) for ~$7.50

    it feels like every RTS from 1995 - 2005, so never bothered me either.  if anything it is less in the way than wc3 was & with the right skin on it less distracting

     

    personal preference i guess, and i play on a 1200 screen

    You can watch ti4 w/o the compendium.  If you dont feel some need to donate 7.50 to valve & 2.50 to VG then probably dont need compendium at this point. 

     

    if you are going to put in the effort to get some levels on it (or $ for more points) you could get some neat items; squawkins, immortals, pudge-ling, some loading screens.

     

    The main event predictions close in ~a week, that could be an opportunity for free compendium points

    on the main multi-cast set I've generally liked the people hosting, although its obvious they aren't used to vamping or working together.  there is some dead air, and then a rush of interruptions over each other.  Maybe because im looking for it, but seemingly the over-talking when Sheeva starts a line has reduced/evolved from the play-in day up to last night.  Perhaps by the end of the event she'll have a fair say

    Oh, I just now realized that I don't own The Darkness 2. I should actually jump on my own deal! I loved The Darkness, even though I played it like five years after it came out.

     

    i got in on The Darkness 2 at release on ps3 and found it to be one of the most uninteresting shooters i've played in years. at least on ps3 it looked like garbage, weird difficulty spikes, and generally awful writing/characters; i played it through...but never picked up again

    Kill him early on, ward his jungle, delay his Midas, delay level 6. A few deaths on him pre midas and he isn't really coming back in a strong way. He has no escape mechanism so until he gets one you can quite easily murder him if he tries to push.

     

    and bring a quelling blade or trees when ganking him.  nothing is more irritating when someone tries to jump the guy and he self-sprouts & tele's away.  225 for the little axe goes a long way

     

    nj00s is right, if you can go find him in the jungle early / often - even if you dont kill and just force him to fountain or loses all his treants it sets his timing way back.  

     

    It is extremely satisfying to do this with a sand king too, caustic little guys & make em pop with an impale

    I (and my team) is having the hardest time with high mobility teams. Cloak Lords and Lothar items aren't the problem, we buy a lot of wards and keep dust at the ready

    More like a 3-blink team, usually with team iniation (es tide enigma warlock mags) causes serious problems. A single target like batrider is me and easily dealt with

    We play Rd so bad drafting could be part of it, but any one else have similar issues and counters?

    Our style is usually moderate lock down, strong team work and lots of healing/mana boots for quick/sustain pushing

    something to consider with heavy limiter use - Ping w/life steal & bounce.  easily clear the shielded cells, and will quickly clear & heal in a pile of weeds

     

    keeping bounce, crash, tap & load on passives.  lots of damage available and heavy survivability.  i found myself spending more time in "real time", especially against Man & the "hair cut" projectiles

    i had a similar issue a few months ago, sorry just now got to reading your post problems

     

    i ended up putting a floor fan in front of it with the side off (to finish the night of dota =D ) but one of the posts on the fan mount had snapped in transit and un-seeded the heatsink, using some not-standard screws i was able to temporarily get it to stick till newegg delivered

     

     

    Glad its all fixed, could have been a bigger problem

    My two categories consist of the favorites list (ie games I am currently or frequently play) and everything else.  My friends list on the other hand has several categories, mostly grouped by how I am familiar with said person.

     

    i also use tags on the friends list to keep track of people who constantly re-do their names/avatars.  If I've met them through Dota i also have to leave a tag to remember the game, eg "no blink mags"

    "crap" - steam betas, humble bundle swill, games i'll never play again

     

    and i use their "Favorites" tag to keep my most played games up-top; dota, isaac, tf2, RoR, space marine, etc.

     

     

    unfortunately, much like the friends list categorizer, the interface is clunky and takes patience to move.

    im hoping in the coming months there is some added replayability.

     

    i loved playing through it the first time and recursion even more so with the duplicate functions.  i even had 9 limiters going through the bulk of the game (no thanks -6 mem)

     

     

    Bastion got a score-attack mode and the trips-to-who-knows-where were a great sandbox challenge without having to start a fresh playthrough.  In Transistor the beach was a great set of challenges...but the doors are closed now.  

     

    I dont think the solution is score-attack challenges, but i'd take most anything to get back into cloudbank and some turn() time

    had ourselves a dota lan day, 3's from 8ish till 9ish.  pretty great

     

    its very interesting how a great lord for 5's is sometimes kiss of death in a smaller team atmosphere.  we played AR...there were some gg @ 10minutes...but mostly good times.

     

     

    last time i did this i was seeing a "UI" while driving home, today was much better, only wanted to magic wand once while getting around someone on the freeway

    my last thought to the cards - i like the cards and badge idea...i do not like having to buy/trade to finish a badge.  if it was an 8-card badge i wouldnt mind if you earned say (4) for finishing the game, 1 extra for each 25% of the achievos you completed.  so if you got an actual Binding of Isaac badge you were a platinum god...not someone who bought all 8 cards for $.10 each

    im +$2.73 on summer sale cards, and another 2-3 dollars on other games i've sold cards from to take advantage of the inflated card prices earlier this week.  i'll run the numbers at the end of the sale if i should put towards compendium points or direct immortal purchases (c'mon fish hex)

     

    The only other titles i was hoping to buy were/are Speed Runners or Towerfall.  But it will have to be a deep discount, i don't have my living room rig setup yet so couch multiplayer is really "hang out in my office"

     

     

    it has felt like a less exciting steam sale, but i attribute that to my past purchases and the frequency and quality of bundles in the last year or 2.  Also, i get this feeling of repetition of games on sale, like they had 50 or so titles to put on sale...and just rotating in and out of daily & flash sales.

    they live in my office.  and do everything listed above; including the barking, occasional crabbing, constant wheel running, jumping, gliding.

     

    ive had these girls for a few years now so the night time barking doesnt necessarily bother me.  sometimes ill wake up...but it happens all night anyways between the cats running around and trains outside.

    lucy on the left is much friendlier, frequently comes out to meet visitors, Lola is crabby...and only barely tolerates me and my wife touching her

     

    we dont let them out normally, REF: Cats, but sometimes on a weekend we'll take them into the bathroom to have free roam w/the door closed.  

     

    they really do bring me much joy and love, its unfortunate you were exposed in adverse conditions

    my wife would leave me and the house if there was ever a bug of that size/danger in our home.  like a cartoon puff of smoke in her shape

     

    right now we have a minor ant problem...actually the cats are proving useful in batting them down until someone can remove with a tissue.  what is unsettling is that i cannot pinpoint their concentration - upstairs, down, kitchen, laundry room - seemingly 1-2 a week (seen) in each spot.  

     

    Surprisingly though they are not concentrating at the biggest jackpot which is my sugar glider cage - there is an endless supply of discarded food that i clean only 1 - 2x a week

    this site is fairly incredible.  its like slick-deals for only free stuff...and most of these websites look riddled with adware. i can only imagine the implications of signing up to a handful of these give-aways, instant spam for sure
