Conan's "Lets Play" last night was pretty amusing, i like his interpretations of weird video game things that seem normal to the initiated...but would be wild and bonkers to an outsider. constantly reminded of Dota...like "eat a tree" to get health back, or the game looks great, but i got this weird feeling of sameness. familiar feeling of the first time seeing the gamecube version (pre HD, so the graphics are relatively good looking) i dont know what i was expecting, but the "wow" factor is just less. being said, the new characters, modes, and potential with amiibo (SP?) is really interesting. maybe the combination MK8, SSMB, potential zelda, everything else they've shown - could be the influence to get a wiiu

my origin password reset requests have taken a hours to come through, but to further the issue setting a "new password" would not activate for a few days...creating a cyclical reset

i'd have to list Omniknight up on the top of my losing streak breaker. it used to be chaos knight, but there feels like so many ways to keep his illusions down that actually snow-balling is much more difficult these days As for Omni in a full support role i can often keep the rest of the team alive long enough to win, and when opportunity arises a Mask of Madness can shift him to a very dangerous position of damage dealing. and since repel doesnt remove guardian anymore, much more comfortable giving people a 10-12 sec immunity

it was a long winter in many places...could be cabin fever there have been studies to correlate temperature to crime rates in Chicago, but i suspect that is more like gang/street violence

i spent a bit of time in HoN, left wc3 dota with introduction of slark in dota (6.65) for the pretty updated textures of HoN until some 2.5yrs ago with a beta invite, this is entirely true. people would pick all early push strats, play hard and if didnt work reset for the next game

Let's all agree it's the griefers fault. GG FF sometimes inspires teams to push up the mid and destroy the throne. Unfortunately it sometimes leads to griefers to Stat pad... Which is also weird to me because Dota doesn't track kda ratios

I'm never happy losing, but since my face isn't in compendium I know it's going to happen more than not Losing close or hard games are fine though, I remember them, talk about them with my friends, figure out what went wrong or right. Having ones time wasted is just part of the package unfortunately. No different in any other team game without drop-in/drop-out capabilities.

Twig, I'm with ya, I've had some train wreck games where I want nothing more than to auto attack the throne myself... But also had games where one team fight turns a seemingly over game to a rax and aegis and have a game again I'd personally rather have the latter with occasional dragged out disasters. I know that a surrender button will all but eliminate that opportunity

I thought nj00s was referring to the Hon surrender system. We are talking about Dota, and to that I agree, who cares about battle points, I'm very anti concede. But if a hypothetical surrender existed someone should get dinged, not like an abandon... But if you call for surrender vote X a day welcome to low queue

I think it still gave out the in game currency, just a portion of a complete game. Wasting 30-40 minutes to end in a forfeit is pretty aggravating if you are saving to buy a new skin, announcer, or the new Lord of the week... Which in the quasi play-to-win model getting the new hero before the riff raff could lead to good mmr boosts

I think xp or gold gap would be a better qualifier. Like >15k gold and option comes up... And team gets one try at it. One of the most aggravating parts of a concede button is when it gets flamed from the moment available until either the throne pops or team gives up

There's a GameCube SD card somewhere with a hard play through stuck at ridley. Mm, might be worth digging out

it was in HoN as well, 15:01 minutes in the surrender would pop if there was the chance of the game being lopsided. some days id like a dota surrender...but im generally glad there is not, i just won a game this morning that was heavy in the other team's favor we came back from... all it took was a 30minute blink on our batrider...then a followup 40minute vanguard =D

this WD love/love-to-hate go makes me really happy. in my 5-stack my brother (happens to be all family) has some 400+ games as WD and a 3.13 kda, Also typically goes middle and frequently wins his lane, gets a rune and will help take a tower or clear a side @ lvl6 anyways, my point, i love that a lord that is mostly played hard-support/ancillary damage can be taken to the next level with practice. I love playing with (not so much against) rando's who have play any lord atypically & dominates because they break the norm/meta with their style (eg http://tinyurl.com/ptkv3u8 this guy went No-Bear sylla and tore us up split pushing)

i torched mine the first time too, way too much heat. ended up having to re-season it because it had an uneven finish & char marks where the food was stuck i got a digital thermometer to keep an eye on the weird hot spots caused by electric stoves, but since ive moved to a kitchen with gas and become more liberal with the oil. actually made a stirfry last night on the cast wok, cleans like a dream

ive been using Jaunt() w/load() or spark() to create a minor damage where jaunt lands. i have problems clearing out shielded cells after big combos on ladies or men. although i may move Cull to my passive to just have damage on contact

if the RNG deities are on your side during a match it can snowball hard. a quick blood stone and some charges & he becomes a serious force. the range on the ignite is amazing w/a few levels into multi-cast if you arent babysitting a carry, his attack animation is great for last hitting & denying in my weird 5stack team we sometimes run him mid. fast levels and solo gold yields quick mana boots & can come gank fast against an under-leveled squishy long & short, huzzah for playing new lords! ever figure that Io out?

i dont think so, not technically taking damage, might be treated as health removal my 5 stack just beat another 5 + coach in <20 minutes. ended up 5-0 Io...they were ready to kill me and i warped to base, salved, started wisps & took an abbadon back with me w/shield. killed 3 more. something like a 8 minute mek & healing boots

we dont have a fire detector near the kitchen fortunately (code check?), but our microwave will go into auto-fan mode if it gets too hot, so running the broiler and something on the stove is a 100% guarantee to set it off to full fan for ~20 minutes i torched my first steak in the broiler, the propane gave out on the grill... but now i just try to keep it down a rack-level from the direct flame & if its BBQ chicken or something with a sauce wait till the absolute end before pouring on

im driving it...so maybe? its a mini cooper s... i could just chip off the "S" off the trunk As part of my monday morning f'ing around ive found parts that will drop the cost by about 1k, and if i feel brave and do myself - i can take another 1k off the labor. (theres other sensors that are getting sprayed with oil everytime the turbo should wind up) it may end up not being the end of the world, but certainly felt like a gut punch when told 3k to fix a ~6k car

the buddy system! latch onto the most useful carry early and feed life & mana, get some kills in the game...then once got some healing items going can turn on overpower & watch said carry go rampage he meshes well with most hard hitting lords, Tiny is the most common w/aggs if youve got an IRL friend can try some ult-ganks...but those are less effective when you dont tell your tethered friend where they are going

My cars turbo is shot. Est 3k to fix unless I find the parts on the cheap. Probably will spend Monday work morning scouring the Internet or calling junk yards Pretty sure just sealed my fate to drive it until total failure
