huzzah for friday-before-holiday-weekends at work. was able to catch up on this whole pile from page 1 to now... lots of good discussion, some clear instigation, but all in all reminds me why i like this place and come back every day. ive other strong feelings, but to type them all out would re-hash the bulk of the (positive) previous 12 pages other note - i love the idea of the ridonkulous rift, but i think by the time it lands retail i'll have other obligations and an outdated dota machine. That will a tough sell to the wife why i need to budget for a new rig and this cool helmet that would help me ignore her even more than my g35's do now

i moved a mere 40 minutes from my ma's house...where some of my oldest friends are still settled But i hardly see anyone from around there because i have no desire to hang out at the bars & drinking/card/mario party my friday nights away. It was a slow transition where i used to get invited...to hardly called...to now a general exclusion. It is somewhat demoralizing...except when looking at the root cause of problem is that I don't want to drink & drive home I feel pretty good about where I am in life - and wonder if they'll ever catch up. If they don't then i guess see ya later... As to keeping friends in weird stage of life though - it is seemingly very tricky, feels like more work than my wife some days. Actively trying to get friends out & coordinate free time with their wives/gfs is seemingly impossible and will only get harder when kids are involved One of my best friends accidentally bought a house down the street (both shopping same time, didnt find out that in same subdivision until were moving stuff) - and i hardly see him. We setup dinner double-dates at each others houses 2-3 weeks in advance, and only a handful of times have we just "hung out" on a whim. The guy works a lot, and his wife works for a nearby university so beginning of semesters are crazy, but sometimes picking time out is like planning a space launch. *i've had this post up most of the morning and generally lost thought path. Friends are hard, getting together is harder. Fortunately my cats make good company

lich is good support too! sacrifice helps with mana control, nuke/slow, armor is always good & a banging team fight move also, if the game doesnt go as planned and are gold-poor its ok. show up with a good chain frost and team might clean up the rest. i end up playing a lot of bot matches at night because i dont like playing a FFA random group & my reg team only plays 2-3 times a week. i'd be happy to play bots with whomever new-or-experienced to talk through some interesting ward placement, skill build, items, etc. Im usually practicing last hit/different heroes steam: undermind9

i was never aware of the expansions. my brothers and i used to play a lot when first got it in the mid 90's...but was replaced with 4-controller n64 technology on related videos - the Elizabeth expansion - whereas she transforms from human to the strange bat w/dental gear. Apparently happens with the Witch expansion as well. pretty neat i think Further down the rabbit hole i did not know there was a re-release in 2004. modern DVD and all, i may have to creep eBay for a decent deal w/low shipping

we just played Atmosfear the other month, had to find a you-tube =/ i should capture the video before it gets taken down too...otherwise i'll have to sit out and do the voices myself with a digital clock timer

i had an aggravating conversation with an acquaintance early last week who is a suburb-of-chicago firefighter/paramedic - who took the stance that there was no way a trained officer would make an unjustified decision etc. much more information has come out since then, but i havent followed up, but i hope with developments over the last week would less naive outlook has been adopted (this goes for all the rest of america who maybe initially thought this was an excuse for rioting and police justified) **i am nervous to even inquire with my Ma her thoughts, the one-sided story she may or may not have been fed could be infuriating

We play random draft and it comes up as a strong middle lane/early gank a lot. I love big play games, but the 5th on our team is a total scrub that is good for wards and usually irritation. (did I mention this whole team is family?) so frequently need to do some unorthodox laning and lord positions But as I started the post I'm on a personal quest to fix my puck skills/win-loss ratio, I do not plan on shoe-horning him into a bad lineup to get a statistic. I appreciate all the responses though, imma keep with the rift priority for the sake of damage and silence. If I live the fight even better

i figured it was a selfish/self preserving build change In my (not great) 5's group i play with we play a more sustain push plan, less spectacular plays and more attrition wins. i figured if i wasnt dead and still casting orbs / (less effective) rifts would work better that damage scale on the rift is crazy, the silence time is pretty great too

im on a mission to salvage my puck record. bad team comp, poor decision play, and a general lack of control has put me in a -10 game deficit with the little dragon. But im still running into a problem with build - Lately ive been Q/E/Q/W/Q/R/Q/WWW/EEE & getting bottle, wand, treads, and a blink fairly quick - but w/o the rank 4 Phase Shift im getting my wings plucked in big fights, especially with aoe dots going no way to get the phase->blink queue going. My change would be to prioritize phase shift sooner to get the 3.25 disappearing act and become more mobile/survivable to keep illusory orb'ing from the back Late game usually looks like a linkens & ginsoo if theres too much money otherwise i slip into wards & dust for the team anyone play it different, or is phase shift>wanning rift a defensive cop out as i suspect

i grew up greek orthodox, being entirely in greek the incense smell was the only positive i took away from all those masses. Bunch of grumpy old greek priests really turned my whole family off of organized religion, but the smoke orb/censers were always a highlight - as a kid i was fascinated at the control with the chain while walking & chanting

extremely respectable choice on the "thanks to world of tanks" promo - dollars have to come from somewhere, but wonderful to know theres added consideration to ad content rather than highest ticket (not that i would accuse an outstanding organization such as the thumbs of anything less than highest ethics, pride, or awareness of audience) and side note - Papou is Greek for grandpa (pronounced just like Danielle said). so thanks!, saying it made me smile thinking about a great guy who isnt doing so well right now, had to rewind to listen to the actual goof.

weird feeling of Wind Waker here; animation style, lots of water, islands, even the tower very pretty though, i always appreciate imaginative animated stone things (1:24). when i finally get a ps4 in 20XX i'll have it on my watch-for list

had a similar experience, got a joystick peripheral as a child for almost no reason i played through Jedi Knight 2 with a joystick & mouse...that wasn't good for any part of that experience, particularly jumping

i'vent much to add to the Aliens talk...i think i've only seen each 1-2x each. AvP Gold video game (circa 2000) by Rebellion though - now that was a great time On the topic though of Doom on SNES - found this gem at my brothers this weekend Super smooth

flooding is never good. i hope theres no carpet involved as for home ownership - it doesn't necessarily get better when you leave the apartment life...although likely more quiet ref back several weeks of my life complaints - damp sub-floor & new flooring voided warranty (never buckled..which was good) & ants (still minor problem) next tasks are pet screens & garage organization

my delete key is my tracker. done with the show, done with the file i suppose you could compile a play list and save that...and then delete from the playlist to eliminate as you go through (or in order top-down)

i use VLC for PC playback at work but i also download the mp3 files individually from my respective cast's sites

2 base-race games in one night. pretty exciting, first was a major come from behind, second one even had a DR never gonna concede! game1 game 2 jon- 2nd was the one i invited you to join the shitshow. the lycan had to deny the first aegis because his lord died but wolves were up. second one he got ganked out mid rosh despite our warding around the pit. third time he engaged, our team got smashed - w/o finishing he came out to die. Pretty great!

i am up to 2.0x on most casts these days. I accidentally got about 65hrs behind on my general queue and it was the only way i could figure out how to catch up. Surprisingly my retention is pretty good, but it is much easier to get lost in a conversation if an email pops up & 2 minutes blow by. It takes a couple hours, but getting used to the 2x speed is pretty easy. The issue it is causing at work though is that I am then expecting the rest of the world to speak quickly, when people ring my desk that speak normal it is aggravating - and there are some folks who talk slow anyways - this is infuriating

i did enjoy some parts of HoN - not quite a rip-off hero builds - like Rampage (spirit breaker) had bat-rider like lasso, Nymph's combination of pitlord, kotl, and the boomerang move, and the buy menu was coming from dota1/wc3 cumbersome shops some of the new lords were pretty interesting as well; Maliken (personal favorite), dark lady, aluna, and parasite stick out but after the "out of beta" cash grab to not have rotating lords & the introduction of pay to early-access it really fell apart
