Picking up 4 guppy items turns you into guppy. Boi pro's swore by it but I never understood why.

Idle Thumbs 183: The Anonymouses
N1njaSquirrel replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Maybe? I have no idea how well titan fall sold. Also you can kinda turn on original art in the new boi. There's an option in the menu's which blurs the pixels together to make it look more like the original. -
Idle Thumbs 183: The Anonymouses

I haven't listened to the whole episode, but i thought you were going to bring up titan fall instead of destiny when talking about online mp only games. -

No, sports anime is generally amazing. XD You should check out Ping Pong, Kuroko no Basket, Haikyuu! and Yowamushi Pedal.

Oh man this is better than anything I expected it to be. It really does feel complete in the way the original doesn't. I'm playing it on a controller and it's super smooth. Also the way you can use the face buttons as attack directions is a great idea. The coolest thing I've come across so far: Also a nice Centipede reference: Sorry the pictures are so big! I'll down size them next time XD

Not yet, it's the next on my list of manga/comics to read. My girlfriend has been bugging me for months to read it. She sais it's super depressing too.

Didn't you watch chihayafuru?

I don't know whether to post this on the manga thread or the comics thread, but it's just been announced that there's going to be a crossover with Marvel and Attack on Titan. Whut. I don't really know what to expect with this: But it is genuine.

Is it me, or has the rules on infinite climax between bayonetta 1 & 2 changed? My recollection of it in 1 is that witch time no-longer activates when dodging, meaning that you were required to use items to activate witch time, making the Moon of Mahaa Kalaah one of the most important items to learn (parries enemy attacks and then activates witch time). This doesn't seem to be the case in 2, just that the timing for the dodge is super specific. Am I going mad? Also the Moon of Mahaa Kalaah no longer activates witch time after a successful parry in 2. :/

Here's how I was thinking of it working: Present(s) cost between £10 - £15 ($16-$25), excluding shipping (if required). People post on a separate thread that I'll make (if there's enough interest) stating their country, what they'd be up for: shipping (i.e. physical present), international shipping (i.e. present from abroad), or/and digital. closing date would be something like 22nd November, where I randomly sort names according to their present preferences and post it on the forum. People then PM each other with addresses and stuff, and hopefully people post what they get on the thread or something. Thoughts? Am I missing anything out?

Would anyone be interested in a Secret Santa thing? Or would that be weird? We would call it Idle Santa because I have no imagination.

I've done about 50 hours in this game now. It's really ace. I've also become a master of a class, which is also ace, as I also like the story, it's oddly charming, even if it is a tad crap.
-
I totally thought this too. It's also going at a pace, probably because the manga is like 10 years old now. Also, the sound effects of Migi (and i think all the parasytes) are done by a teenage beat boxer from South Korea. Now that's all I can think about when I hear it.
-
Yeah, Sony (bizarrely, not platinum or Sega) released a patch like a month later making everything super-smooth, or so I read. I'm pretty sure it's playable now on the ps3, and doesn't load the pause menu.
-
If it helps, i played it in front of my other half, and she enjoyed it. Although she also wanted to see it, so maybe it's not a fair comparison. There is certainly a lot of stuff that's there beyond Bayonetta's butt. But then again I'm pretty biased, as I'm a huge fan of the series. Did I mention it's the best? because it totally is.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)
N1njaSquirrel replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Idle Banter
OK GO has released another music video and it's amazing: Somehow they always out-do themselves every time they release a music video, and this is no exception. The choreography alone must be insane, especially at the end. And how the hell did they do that in one shot? I assumed it was on a crane until the end. Turns out they had a setup like this: Which is even more insane, as I didn't even notice the copter detach from the roller. Madness! Also the song is really good. Their new album is really good. Also also, is it just me, or are the band members like 3 Science teachers and one cool kid? -
Lol hopefully. I think it's less likely, as you already know yotsuba so you already have a knowledge of the character, whilst I have never seen Kenny Loggin's beautiful mane until I googled him that very night. As your avatar is that of a real dude's face, I just assumed that that was your actual face, having never met you, or seen a real picture of you to associate your name to. The internet is weird!

I've just finished Bayonetta 2! It's fantastic. As far as the story goes, it'd probably be a bit confusing at first if you haven't played the first game, but it should make sense half-way through the final boss battle. Also given the ending, it doesn't matter which one you play first, as As far as the fighting mechanics go, it feels relatively unchanged from the first and the second one. The main difference is the Umbran Climax, which is effectively a timed damage multiplier, which slowly drains a bar of magic, which isn't in the first one. There are also some new weapons, which is to be expected, but nothing radical that'll change the flow of the gameplay. It's also not that long, pegging in at roughly 15 hours in my first playthrough, but I'm going to replay it on a higher difficulty, as I missed loads of stuff, and there's loads to unlock too. Ugh this game is good, but I do feel it misses some of the bombast that was in the first game.

I was in the pub the other day with work colleagues, talking to my friend who's an Archer fan, when another colleague overheard us and asked us who Kenny Loggins was. So we then googled him, and the first thing I said was "Holy shit that's Blambo". To which everyone looked at me confused, and I had to awkwardly explain it away. Why does no-one understand me?

Get out. Clannad's great. Yeah, it is pretty moe I guess, I just meant that there was more to the anime than just cute girls doing cute things like in shows like Chuunibyou and K-On!, which seems to be Kyoani's jam at the minuet.

I've been away from the forums for a while, so excuse the use of old posts that people have probably lost interest in by now: That was me. Just sayin'. May I recommend FLCL? It's a 6 episode anime (so super short), and is fantastic. It's my favorite anime actually. It's hard to say what exactly is so great about it, but it's superb, and a show that you can re-watch and pick up new things about it. The short synopsis is that a girl called Haruko hits Naouta, a boy who lives in a town where 'nothing interesting happens', with a bass guitar, and a mech grows out of his forehead. Then stuff happens. The show can be confusing, but only at the sheer rate of things that are thrown at you. Idk what to really say about it that makes it great, but damn it's great. Also the sound track is completely done by one band, the pillows, and it's amazing. I do think that the sound track fits the show so well, and it wouldn't be as great without it: The people who went on to become Trigger mostly worked on this show and it shows, I think. I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but Wakfu's animation was done by a Japanese studio. Just to confuse matters. Also, is anyone watching Agami Brilliant Park? It's flippin' ace! It's like Kyoani never made K-On! or any other moe shows, and just did Clannad and Haruhi. It's really, really good. I didn't even realise it was Kyoani until the end of the second episode.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube
