I know this is an old-ass thread, but ... I seriously just can't get GFWL to work, even after downloading multiple copies. WHY IS IT SO MUCH TO ASK TO PLAY VIRTUA TENNIS 4, Video game GODS??? Tips, amigos? I just can't figure out what I am doing wrong. The client seems to install OK but always opens with an error.

The Neverending story, you have to rapidly press A to save Artax and there is a second screen experience where you clean up the Luck Dragons poop for in-game gold

Not to derail a ton further but honestly the controls and level design felt best to me in that game. Most people who hated it probably were looking for another mind blowing story (which it doesn't have) but I honestly thought the original Bioshock's story was just-ok so I was willing to trade it away for controls and levels that I personally enjoyed more. Ps By level design I actually mostly mean size, original Bioshock the levels all felt like 20% too small for some reason

I know I am a tiny minority here but I actually liked Bioshock 2 best out of the three.

You must be overapplying a specific area re: scaffolding, I think. I am 150 hours or so in and the only mandatory jumping I can think of is in the tutorial and at the bottom of the well.

+1 this made a big difference to me as well, the controls felt "off" to me until I did that

This was my first Steam sale and it was great. Dropped around $70 and got things I have wanted for awhile; stuff to try out; and favorites I am likely to want to replay at some point. Overall I was super jazzed about this thing and felt like I got a lot of value.

Think I am quitting Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. It's pretty for an on rails thing, the story is fun and the pacing is nice but I keep bogging down on the boss fights and stopping there. So every time I come back to it it's at a terrible point and honestly it's just not quite interesting enough for me to care to continue or push through it.

I think maybe it was GiantBomb's E3 coverage but somewhere along the way I also got the strong impression this will come to PC eventually but they are really just trying to not say it right now. Bloodborne, on the other hand...

Me too! I was very pleasantly surprised. I own the cord from the 360 version but couldn't play it bc of the latency, here's to hoping my PC is better about that.

Why don't soccer ball manufacturers get royalties when their products are played on television for profit? Relevant? This discussion surfaces a bias of mine, which is that games that do not significantly empower the player are just not fun to me at all, anymore. I prefer to read stories or watch films when it is pure narrative. Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, the Uncharted games, most Call of Duty-type games are all things I just cannot finish. I really just feel like if what I do in a game is completely channelized or has a couple artificial routes, then I just really don't have any power and therefore do not want to play. This sort of relates to my feelings on the topic at hand which is that most video games I personally value will be less vulnerable to getting ruined by a LP / QL. I haven't played Fez but I would guess that watching a LP of it is primarily about enjoying the performance of the player or their commentary - which to me is more analogous to watching someone play sports or a specific piece of music of something. I would argue that this category really should be somehow protected, genius speed runs / eggplant runs / whatever to me seem like a form of performance art in their own right.

Rereading your last post, maybe worth flagging that the DLC starts comin out in late July, if it's not on sale with the Summer Sale, it'll probably get some kind of drop at that time
