Those videos are amazing and are making me wish that the UE4 audio tools weren't such a mess, they were obviously made by a programmer with no experience of regular audio production. And I think the size of the Unity store is a bit deceptive. Sure, there's a bunch of great stuff there, but it's also full of mediocre 3D models and plugins that haven't been updated since 2013.

Superb twists in the latest episode, I really like how they hint at the worst clichés only to subvert them. Good podcast material, but I'd still love to see a The Americans cast. Americast?

Cradle: Gone Home but with androids instead of ghosts

I'm about two hours in. The cube puzzles are annoying but a small price to pay for what is one of the most interesting games I've played in a while. The story treating completely insane things as mundane reminds me of the Strugatsky brothers, which makes sense considering that the devs worked on the Stalker games. -
Cradle, so pretty.

I'm really enjoying Mr. Robot despite the occasional awkward scene:

Unreal Tournament is not a bad place to start, it's free and well documented.

You can always download the mp3 and convert it to mono in Audacity.

That's strange, I can run New Vegas with a bunch of mods just fine. -
I just experienced my first earthquake. So weird.

Is anyone else strangely excited for the new Wolfenstein game?

I'm about five hours in. Combat feels a bit more polished and I really like how you can lean in every direction, but I just don't find the setting as interesting as dystopian '60s Berlin. -
Might this be archived somewhere?

Neat, it's like Ableton stripped down to its barest essentials.

I shot one guard, another one somehow managed to set himself on fire and a third one jumped to his death. Then the game crashed. 5/5.

That looks really good. Any chance of a playable demo?

I just watched Deep Impact for the first time since it came out, it was surprisingly great.

True Detective Weekly 2: Night Finds You

I read that mostly as the mandatory scene showing off her big vice, the way every episode needs at least on scene with Farrell drinking and looking sad. I'm not crazy about using a character's sexual preferences to display how messed up they are. She can't be allowed to just be into rough sex, she has issues. -
On the other hand, a bureaucrat would never do this: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-18423780

I really liked the Southern Reach books. The Roadside Picnic/Stalker influence is very obvious, but Vandermeer took the basic theme in a new direction and the shifts in perspective between books kept it interesting.

I got myself a Bitwig license for Christmas. As a former Ableton user I'm sometimes frustrated by the relatively limited feature set, but I really like the extensive modulation options, it's very easy to make crazy chains of devices controlling each other.

http://50watts.com/ is pretty great for general style ideas.

I really like how my sci-fi battlebike sounds like an old Vespa.

Enemy Within is great in itself but it doesn't really prepare you for Long War, it's a completely different game.

Procedural generation is definitely a big deal. I've put 257 hours into Enemy Within, at this point every map feels like de_dust2.

I would be perfectly happy with a reskinned Interstate '76.
