I like Danielle being on the podcast so that there's another voice I can identify. I can recognize Chris. And I can identify that there are different people talking, but I cannot for the life of me tell which other host it is. I'll hear someone who isn't Chris and think, "Is that Jake? Or Sean? Or Nick? Or someone else?" It's like the "Chris and Friends Show". And now its the "Chris and Danielle and Friends Show".

Pfft, you say that like those are bad things. Also apparently everyone here is very humble. ...except Twig. I also feel like this whole ranking thing was a terrible idea that can only end in arguments and bad feelings so I'm stopping now.

So I moseyed on down to the local comic shop today to browse a little. Ended up grabbing All New DOOP #1-3, as well as a Deadpool comic. Not having any idea who or what Doop was, I don't know if I should have picked up three issues of it. I ended up just getting a little confused and slightly bored reading it. It all happens during an X-Men plot that I had not followed, so that, on top of dimension hopping stuff and characters I don't know anything about but should, made me lose interest fast, but part of that just feels like my own fault for not thinking before buying. ...then I cleansed my brain-palette with the goofy dumb action of Deadpool, and all was right with the world. (Also, I have a job interview tomorrow, if that goes well and I get the job I'm totally preordering Bryan Lee O'Malleys "Seconds".)

I'm really disappointed about them dropping the pirate theme from 2. It was a large part of my decision to play it, and going to generic fantasy just feels... bland.

Well, it's a Ubisoft game, so they could make you actually play the sets using the Rocksmith stuff.

Is it because his eyebrows are cat ears? Because his eyes are smaller versions of himself trapped in little circles? Because his nose is obviously detachable? Because he isn't looking at anyone or the camera, just sort of off into the distance? Maybe it's just because you know he eats everything placed in front of him, and here he is in front of two perfectly normal and innocent looking little girls that are getting a little too close to his mouth.

I've heard of this Marijuana Simpson, and started reading some of it a few days ago. My biggest criticism is... well, none of the characters seem to be even close to their actual characters. It's just home-made characters that share the Simpson character names. Replacing the names with other names, like replace all instances of "Homer" with... I dunno, "Frank", it wouldn't feel different. It just uses the empty skins of these characters as puppets to perform the creators own play. It doesn't take advantage of the personal quirks and personalities that could be molded into a story, instead gutting out everything and only using the shallowest surface forms to make it more digestible to the public. (Also I'm just not a fan of all the marijuana reference stuff. I know that's a cornerstone of the entire thing, which is a big reason I feel this just isn't for me.)

I've always found fanfiction as a whole to be like the LEGO of the writing world: A way to construct a story using some basic building blocks to flesh it out, such as familiar characters, settings, objects, and relationships, that can be snapped together by the author and held in place with that authors own ideas. This is bringing back awkward memories of 13-year-old me and my horrific attempts at Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction... I am thankful that those 2 awful chapters are forever lost to the ages, since the fan website it got posted on has since disappeared into the aether of old shitty websites. It might have actually been a geocities website, now that I think about it... whatever, I'm glad it's gone.

I've never wanted absolute standard filetypes as much as I did while editing videos in college.

Oh man, I burned through so much time as a kid playing Harvest Moon 64, though I've never played the original. I can see why not being able to grow crops in Autumn would get really boring though. I tried playing later Harvest Moon games, but I just was never able to get into them quite the same way as with HM64. Does anyone know if any of the portable ones were any good?

I watched Bernie sometime last year, as I recall it was a fairly enjoyable film. I liked it, but it definitely felt like it dragged on. I think what really kept me interested was that it was based on real events.

It's kind of funny you mention that, because the conclusion of that murder mystery was where I left off the other day. I just started watching it because I needed something from Netflix to occupy time and it looked interesting. Though the more I've thought about it, the more disappointed I am in how there's no action. I mean, it doesn't have to be Dragon Ball Z levels of huge fights every episode with little bits of plot tossed in, but in the second episode you get this big fight with a boss monster against a group of people, and it's cool. And then there's nothing like that again. In fact... I wouldn't be as upset by this lack of action if they hadn't basically made such an early episode focused around a battle like that and made it seem like something it isn't.

I had a decent amount of fun with Bioshock 2. It might have been due to being the only FPS I had on my XBox at the time, so it might just have been filling a gaming niche for me at the time, but I had fun. And then after I finished it I got right plastered and played the multiplayer online for hours. I had a ton of fun with it, even though I sucked. I kept playing until my head became too heavy to keep off of the coffee table in front of me (and I still played a few rounds sprawled on the floor, only looking at the game occasionally. I'm pretty sure at that point I was the worst person to ever play that game online.)

Seriously, 5-0 is a bit embarrassing at that high-level play in a sport usually known for having very low scoring games. I kind of feel bad for Brazil. ...on the other hand a good portion of my family is from Germany, so from that perspective... Yeah! Go Germany!

So I recently started watching "Sword Art Online". It's kind of neat, though I heard from a friend that it apparently goes way downhill after the halfway point.

Huh. So I checked and I have 20 games currently eligible for booster packs. I've only ever received one.
