So, if you have Origin, you can get a free copy of "Wing Commander 3", which seems like a pretty cool deal. ...the reason I bring it up is because I wanted to know if anyone had any opinions on the game one way or the other (I know the Wing Commander series is generally fondly remembered, but I was wondering about 3 specifically)... either way I'm still going to be playing it when it finishes downloading.

I'd never know it was you ever again. I recognize people here by their avatars instead of their names... hell, I'm still getting used to the fact that OK Man is also FishMan is also Scared Dr.Wily.

Ubisoft, why do you keep saying stuff like this? http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/08/01/beyond-good-will-push-past-the-boundaries-of-proverbial-sequel/

That's pretty cool.

Oh, wow. When I read your post I thought you said he wrote a post about homophobes and was fired. Then I read the article, and it was much, much worse. I just... I'm having trouble believing this is real.

Yes, Dead Space was amazing. (Now if only they didn't have that awful turret section...) I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice it looked the first time I started it up a few months ago. It has really held up nicely.

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

Ugh, they all look like those weird upside-down-chin-faces that people used to do all the time... -
...I just want to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 with an Oculus and some kind of steering wheel peripheral thingy.

Is nobody else going to point this out? That is one strange, weirdly-specific hobby.

I don't know why it took me so long to do this, but today, for the first time, I went to the library in my city. Got myself a library card and had a look around. It was... amazing. They have these little machines where you can check out the books by yourself! You scan your library card and put books on this little shelf and they get scanned and poof! Thats it! I don't need to talk to anyone or go to the front desk, I just pop on over to one of these machines! And I can go online and using the number on my library card I can check which books I have checked out and when theyre due! It's fantastic! Also they recently added video games to the things you can get. I don't currently have an XBone, PS4 or WiiU though, so there's nothing there for me. BUT STILL. Agh I didn't think I could get this excited about going to a library. I guess my library experiences as a child were severely limited...

Hah! Jokes on them, I don't buy games! I'm glad I waited as long as I did to get my free copies of Peggle and Plants Vs Zombies from Origin. -

...yuck. -
Meat and fruit is a combination I didn't really have growing up, but in the past couple of years it's something I started playing around with and it's really a great combo.

My god I feel like some kind of n00b, I very rarely have more than 4 tabs open at any one time... I don't think I've ever had more than 10.

Huh, I've never considered trying to do BBQ in an oven before. I suppose there's not much of a reason it wouldn't work... I may have to try that out sometime!

Ugh. $8.25 and 3 hours later, and my clothes are not dry. 3 different machines. Not one of them working. So now here I sit, clothes on a rack, typing with one hand while the other holds my sister's hair dryer, trying to get them into a wearable state. This has upset me more than i think it should.

The only manga I read nowadays are my futile attempts to catch up with One Piece... I used to have the first volume of Full Metal Alchemist and I started reading Shaman King (and greatly enjoying it, but in the end I just watched the show... the 4kids du(m)b...)

I've never really thought of Patreon as a platform for discovering new personalities, but rather more like a way to pay people who do a good job. I think of it kind of like one of those Paypal Donate buttons that exist everywhere: If you like this person's stuff, help support them! If you're looking for new people to spread your fabulous riches to, there are much better ways of finding content.

Well, I mean, if you really want to get into it, what is the use of any movie? But steering the topic back to games, I never got very far in KotoR. The first time I installed it, after every combat my guy was glued to the floor and could not move. I would have to save, exit the game, and start it again to walk around some more, only to be stopped when I engaged in another combat. So that sucked, I uninstalled. Then the second time, I installed it again, and this time I didn't have the same problem. (I don't know what happened before, but whatever.) Anyways, I never made it off the first planet. It just felt boring to me and I sucked at it and was stuck in an area where I was going to get mowed down by bad guys and I had no healing stuff left and... ugh. Its a point I find myself in in a few RPGs that just ruins the experience for me, where I can't move forward at all and I can't go back to regroup so I just give up.

Oh hey Jon Dore. He's... okayish. Didn't really like the TV show he had though. Obviously what you have to do is trick him into following you on Twitter, and then from there make him your best friend. You can ask Mington for advice in this endeavor.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder! I hit Gold, and since I don't have a Wii U, I'm going for Wario Land 2.

Wow. I do have to say, Ryan stayed much calmer through the whole thing than most people I know would have been (or most people I've talked to during my brief stint at a call center). I guess we know now why they claim people don't want faster internet.

I once thought it would be cool to start my own con. Then I looked into what would be needed to arrange even a small con, and was very quickly like, "Wow, there's a lot more involved in something like this than I thought. Maybe I shouldn't, what with having no money and no experience." Also, for the MySpace thing... I guess it kind of makes sense. I mean, for a while after Facebook sort of took over, the only people I ever saw using MySpace were musicians and bands, and it worked well for them. It seems like a good idea for MySpace to have sort of gone in a music-focused direction.

Well thats terrifying.

I've been hearing so much stuff about DashCon. Seems like a huge amount of mismanagement mixed with a lack of money.
