  1. Dammit. I was going to post a clip from the movie "Wild Hogs" that was mildly relevant. But I can't find the clip I'm looking for. Essentially, one character is being held for ransom by a biker gang, leader of gang says to bring money to some place or he'll take the payment out on the character's legs. To which the character shouts out, "Don't bring the money, I'm a programmer, I don't need my legs!" ...anyways, my choice is Right Leg. I don't consider my legs as important as my arms, and I'm left-handed and thus consider my left side more important. No real reason ,I just feel its more important.
  2. Ahhh! I forgot all about Hotel Dusk! What a fantastic game. I loved the style, and the music, and the story... it was amazing. I need to play it again. The only thing I didn't like about it were some of the puzzles... closing the DS to (if I remember correctly) close a book, then open the DS to open it to a different page? That was the insane type of puzzle I had to look up because I would never think to do something like that.

That's really cool Tegan! I can't even begin thinking of how to make something like that, so, in my mind, you are like... a wizard.
  4. This last generation saw a remake/reimagining/sequel to one of my all time favorite NES games, but got little to no recognition at all: "A Boy and His Blob" for the Wii. It was such a fun little puzzle-platformer thing with a style I liked and based on one of my favorite NES games. I really, really wish it had done better. Actually, apparently, score-wise it did really well, but I cant find any sales numbers, so I don't know if it actually did poorly. It's just that no one I know ever bought it or even heard of it, so it feels to me like it failed...
  5. I would argue they are innovative, if for no other reason than everyone sort of collectively went, "Yeah, that's not such a good idea, let's focus on other things instead."
  6. Ideas like that are what feed my "contrary-for-no-reason" side. I would be finding mannequins, buying some doritos, and setting them up on a couch in an attempt to get the achievement without me actually doing it. Maybe rigging up some fishing line and stuff for movement. It would be many times harder than actually sitting in front of my TV for 24 hours, but I would feel compelled to do it simply because I think its dumb and I want to be an ass.
  7. Cartoons!

    ...I liked it.
  8. I feel like the "mobile game revolution" is similar to the uprising of Twitter: plenty of people thought it would be Facebook's downfall (the way Facebook overthrew MySpace), but now they both exist in a kind of bizarre balance. We still have mobile games, plenty are being released, and some do really well. But they aren't really slowing down consoles or even other handheld gaming devices like the 3DS (from what I've seen, anyways).
  9. PL4YST4TION 4

I love watching things that shouldn't be in a microwave get microwaved. But on the other hand, I am seriously disturbed by people getting a console right around launch and destroying them. So altogther that video was neutral to me.

    Congratulations!
  11. These novels are rollercoaster of thrills!

But what I want to know is, can you make a ride near the beginning of the park, and then have the exit lead deeper into the park so no one can escape, and then have incredibly expensive prices on food and bathrooms? If you can't, I don't think I want to read them. So did I. ...I can't wait for a North American release of The Tournament.
  12. Intoxicated:

Don't loathe yourself when playing DOTA2, there's enough other people on to do it for you.

I've only ever heard of "Dutch oven", and not just as a cooking implement.
  14. I Had A Random Thought...

...I've never eaten a Flintstones... anything. I've never had Fruity (or Cocoa) Pebbles, I've never had any Flintstones Vitamins, and I've never even heard of the push-up pops until now.
  15. The most niche podcast you have listened too

Eh, things like that never last long. ...never mind, they're on Episode 206. I am baffled. I have to listen to at least one episode now. Just one... EDIT: I regret this almost immediately.
  16. Intoxicated:

    I love watching Spongebob.
  17. Board Games?

The more I think about it, the more I realize I have no idea how Monopoly works. Like, at all. The only times I played it, I was young enough that my parents decided to use some very watered down rules to deal with my tiny child brain. I've never put down a house or hotel or whatever and have no idea what they actually do. I've never read the rules. ...now I kind of want to find someone to play Monopoly with, and actually read the instructions and stuff.
  18. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I enjoyed the first Castlevania. But that's about it. I think I played one of the GBA ones, that was okay as well. The others I just couldn't get in to.
  19. Intoxicated:

The only game I spent any real time playing while intoxicated was Bioshock 2 on my Xbox360. I was playing the online multiplayer. I could barely keep my head up. T'was hilarious.
  20. Happy Birthday!

    Happy day of your birth!
  21. Thats just one of those questions you have to bullshit your way through. "Yeah, yeah, we really put a lot of effort into smooth gameplay, yeah, it works really well and the entire team is really proud of it, yeah. I can't speak for what the Call of Duty team does, but we just give it everything we've got, we have a ton of great talent working on Titanfall, that's really important, just the team working well, really meshing, yeah, it makes for a better game. It really does."

    Happy (almost) Birthday!

Might as well cook meth. If you're gonna die, make it interesting.
  24. I Had A Random Thought...

Does anyone always read "R,S,T,L,N,E" as "R.L Stine"? Every time it popped up on Wheel Of Fortune I instantly assumed RL Stine. I still do, actually.

Wow. I always feel awful hearing about the trouble people have paying for healthcare in the US. Those sound like ridiculously high fees. I really hope your little guy gets better soon Zeus, I can't imagine the stress and worry of having a sick child.
