I'm actually predicting coL winning the best of 1 and EG coming up out of the lower bracket for the Grand Finals When are the new predictions locked in? I'm not able to update until tomorrow night.

I'm still still predicting an EG v Secret Grand Final, primarily because I know nothing about Chinese Dota. I should check out those profile videos mentioned above.

Are we worried about spoilers in here? I'm going to miss most games this week and will need to catch up. I just need to know if I should avoid this thread until then.

Today I learned the definition of the word "cuckservative" (hint, it's exactly what you think it means) and I want to barf with laughter. Basically, disconcertingly large segments of the GOP base are not satisfied with racism being concealed under fig leaves and transmitted though dog whistle and are demanding full frontal white supremacy blasted from bullhorns before they'll be satisfied that they're not being "fooled". I wonder how much longer pundits and GOP leadership can keep pretending that Trump's popularity is a side show before they're forced to start dealing with the serious and surging appeal of crazy go nuts, snarling racism amongst red state voters.

The stars take a lot of lateral thinking and a lot of wandering around checking every corner. Every one I found involved either: 1. Getting lasers to shine into / be accessible in the hub zone or other puzzle spaces 2. Getting on top of the walls and falling into a secret space (in fact, it seems like every place you can do this will reward you with something, if not a star) 3. Getting puzzle equipment out of the puzzle spaces to use in the hub zones As far as I can tell, you need them all to get to the sixth floor of the tower, which I feel like you add another 10 hours to the length of the game for me.

I have about a half dozen puzzles (not including the ones unlocked by the stars). Do you need to get all the stars to get the true ending, or is it more of a bonus? And how does the DLC fit in chronologically?

Personally, I was surprised how naturally holding my first kid came as I had only held a couple of infants in my life previously and I was always terrified I would break them. My daughter has a lot of attachment / separation issues with her mom, and for months I couldn't be left alone with her as she would literally scream bloody blue murder the entire time (she has a truly heroic stamina, not to mention a wail like a banshee). That was hard on both of us, mentally for me and physically for my wife as I wouldn't even be able to settle her when she woke up at night. But, thankfully that's gotten a lot better and that all seems like ancient history. Having kids is amazing and excruciating: something that's worth keeping in mind is that old proverb about the saying etched into King Solomon's ring: "This to shall pass". Cherish the good times and remember that the hard times with infants are as inevitable as they are temporary. You'll get through it. Hope that helps at all and isn't too cheesy and lame. Kids made me cheesy and lame.

Let's take a second to imagine the mentality required to tweet at a game developer, who they feel is insufficiently respectful to the hallowed Consumer, that said dev should be careful since their doctor might be a gator. Imagine the world they live in.

Thanks guys. A lot of food for thought. I think I will leave my GPU as is and go for the i5. It looks like the i7 is also within budget but the side by side feature posted above seems to indicate that the gain in performance probably isn't worth the ~$100 price jump. And thanks for mentioning the RAM JonCole!

At this point, any trace of heresy is enough to justify harassment; not being dedicated to making the "objectively" best game possible is evidence that they are lazy, fake devs corrupting their industry who must be corrected or purged as they could be vulnerable to the influences of the cultural Marxists.

I don't want to bring down the Iwata thread so I'll say it here: it's super gross and utterly predictable that the gators have weaponized Iwata to harass developers who don't grovel before their talking points. They've literally been calling Rami Ismail the anti-Iwata (and threatening to get him fired from Vlambeer) over his keynote where he said he was a dev first and not a gamer. Other various shitbirds have been misusing Iwata's words to hate on games that fail gamer definitions of "game". jfc

It's time for an upgrade and I was hoping to get your input. I haven't kept up with hardware in years and I have a couple of basic requirements. 1. I want to play Dota 2 at 60fps with max settings at 1920x1080 2. I want to play Metal Gear V at an acceptable framerate with whatever settings 3. I want to spend <$500 CAD (much less if possible) At present I've got: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz GeForce GTX 560 Some banger mobo that gets the job done 8GB of RAM 128GB SSD and a 1TB spinny drive (This runs Dota 2 at ~25fps on low everything and MGV: Ground Zeroes at ~30fps at low settings most of the time) I've got my eye on the following upgrade GeForce GTX 750 TI i3-4170 Haswell MSI Z97 PC Mate Mobo This'll come to about $500 after tax at NCIX (Canada) I'll carry over the HDDs and the RAM Does this look reasonable? Are there any obvious cheap upgrades / cost saving downgrades that you fine folk can spot? Thanks!

I'll say one thing for the Talos Principal: the vast majority of the puzzles they made are good to great. There's only a couple that leap out at me that are bad (ie: i know exactly how to solve them and its just a a pain to do it). That said, even with 18 hours played and only a couple puzzles left in the main 3 temples, I think i might be done with it. To get the proper ending you have to find all the hidden bonus stars, and there are too many around that I know will be a huge pain in the ass and I don't want to bother.

Do you play solo or with a stack?
