  1. This is the new (console) shit!

i would only buy the next gen consoles if i were rich, otherwise my PC that can do everything i need is just fine
  2. i haven't played the new sim city, but i have seen that the "cities" are very small and this worries me, i have heard a lot of good things about the mechanics and simulation, like how everything is an agent not just a number ( that made me think of how i like Knights and merchants because you can watch everything happen) but the size of the cities worries me because i felt like the massive plots in the previous versions of sim city gave you so much freedom as to how you would design your city and also the long term goal of making a mega city, the small cities look like they are tutorial cities but they are actually the full sized ones, i think they are good for getting used to the game, but there just doesn't look like there is enough room to make unique personal cities, only enough room to make efficient cities or specialised cities
  3. Idle Thumbs 89: The Ship Economy

i thought it meant that the UI art would change to reflect your badassness
  4. Idle Thumbs 89: The Ship Economy

but in the crazy world it is set the personality is crazy, if borderlands 2 was a film it would be super mario bros
  5. Idle Thumbs 89: The Ship Economy

yeah it has personality in the VO but when you are shooting people in the face to get loot and XP it all seems irrelevant, except for a few small funny moments (lame party with claptrap) i mainly just followed markers to kill people then turned in the mission, who the mission was for and why didn't matter, because most of the time all i heard was screams and all i saw was blood. and i spent most of the time with the NPC's just punching them in the face and getting a slight reaction of a head nod, maybe if guards arrested me or something i wouldn't have spent most of the time punching them in the face, but because nothing you did would effect them that is what i would do
  6. Idle Thumbs 89: The Ship Economy

i think the only actual unique or different thing about borderlands 2 is the weird stats the weapons have, but they even get all to similar after a while, everything else about it i have played thousands of times, and basically it is just a death match with loot and filler space
  7. New people: Read this, say hi.

well, i have just finished listening to all the idle thumbs podcasts wizard, i think the discussion about far cry 2 was a bit short you didn't even mentioned that the best part of the game is burning things, anyway other than that is was quite interesting travelling through the podcast past, certain discussion are very relevant to the present. also computer games and niche (pronounced neesh not nitch)
  8. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

i feel like i have finished a game when i no longer want to play it, there is no shame in not enjoying yourself, the shame (if any) should be on the maker of the game for not making the game interesting all the way through
  9. Waking Mars

i have not completed it yet, but the game sort of reminds me of vessel and that sort of reminded me of abes oddysee, i like the puzzles so far just making combinations of the different plants to make the most biomass (or whatever it's called) i like manipulating AI in games
  10. New people: Read this, say hi.

yeah i guess some in-joke stuff is a bit weird (like a spot the origin point of a joke game) but i have started going through it backwards so i will finish going through it backwards, because now it would confuse me more starting at the beginning
  11. New people: Read this, say hi.
