I've just gone back to the sneaking suit and didn't realise the battle dress was impacting stealth. Still if you're operating at night and move slowly you can pretty much where whatever and be pretty stealthy, plus reflex is very generous.

Ah ok, thanks for the summary.

Good work, I think I like that slightly better than Octopus Tactical.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I like that song but had no idea who it was by, it just came up on autoplay sometimes. The video reminded me of this (nsfw): -
Does anyone have a good link explaining the anti-GG thing? I'm not familiar with that group.

Awesome Is that the grenade pistol?

I also hate the skulls. How I did that mission:

I don't remember much of the books but like others here I struggled and it stopped me reading any more of the series. So I may have to revisit it now that I know it's not just me not getting on with it and that the sequels are much better.

Why can't people just let Snorlax sleep? Sure they have a terrible habit of sleeping in the only passage between areas but still, it seems a bit harsh.

I've now finished the game and played all of the missions (apart from subsistence, extreme and total stealth). So I need someone else to finish it so I can discuss it with someone

I watched a video for the R&D Target Practice and still failed miserably after failing a number of times before that so haven't tried again since. I wish those missions were actually about target practice and not hide and seek. One thing that can help is NVGs, they rather unrealistically highlight anything useful as well as thermals so show ladders, cracks, explosive barrels, blueprints, processed materials, etc plus targets in those missions.

It definitely seemed a lot faster to me, possibly you have to hold as Atlantic says to get the full speed.

So I said D-Walker was slow... well turns out I should have looked at the controls because I pressed X and it went into driving mode. Now I feel like an idiot after walking across the whole map.

@ratamero Ah right @seamus Yeah it's unfortunate, maybe it'll change in time but I don't think it'll be any time soon. As for a referendum I am certain that most Britons would not care as much as they did about Scotland Edit: The sad face emoticon (do people still call them that?) on this forum is strangely ill-fitting...

Empty by term time? January intake I guess, I always forget that's a thing Also thanks, I don't need anything fancy, I've lived in some... interesting situations and made do before so I'm pretty flexible. At the moment I'm looking on http://www.spareroom.co.uk if anyone knows any other good sites then please let me know. @seamus It's being covered but isn't getting a lot of air time, which seems to sadly be the norm for NI in the media over here. It's a odd relationship.

I like the D-Walker, not enough to use over other buddies but I could see situations where it's useful. For instance if you wanted to take a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher and not worry about supply drops then you could equip the walker with a missile launcher. I've taken out a gunship with a walker before. My main issue with it is speed, it's not very fast compared to D-Horse or a Jeep. I also like D-Horse because it's useful in a pinch, it's fast and comes to you so if you sneak through a base it can meet you on the other side. Also who doesn't love shooting while riding a horse?

Mission 28/29

I'm going to be starting a new job next month in Leamington Spa and need somewhere to live, there's a three month probation period though and while I very much doubt I'd be let go at the end of it, I can't really commit to longer. Which reduces my options a tad, any ideas?

That's an amazing tactic

I think the enemies do change up in more than just gear although the difference is subtle. For instance I've noticed more are taking wide arcs to investigate corners and avoid being easily grabbed. Regarding Mission 29: Also for anyone further than Mission 29:

Windows 10: "It wouldn't be right to call it Windows 9."
Brett E replied to Urthman's topic in Idle Banter
Windows 10 finally decided I was allowed to try again yesterday and it worked this time, I guess either my old HDD or Windows install were too old and messed up before. A couple of useful links for dealing with the possibly unwanted aspects of Win 10.
