  1. Terminal7 53: Singe Me A Song of Deuces 23 seconds was how long Titan Transnational's servers were offline. In meatspace, that's not even enough time to hum Sunshine Junction's theme song. But on the net, that's lifetimes and more. Trillions of credits are just gone. Who was behind the attack? Who stands of profit? How will Weyland react and how will its competitors take advantage of the situation? Fine out as Nels and Jesse discuss the first data pack of the Flashpoint cycle- 23 Seconds! 2. Terminal7 52: I Forged A Lot of Ballots Mighty and mad, the massive masses are massing! Election day has finally come in the Indian Union and with it, change is in the air. But with charges of rigged results and a tragic political assassination, will this new government ever be seen as legitimate? And could any government hope to challenge the sway megacorporations hold over all of Mumbad? Nels and Jesse discuss the final datapack in this most exciting Mumbad Cycle, so come along and see what you ought to Fear the Masses. 3. Terminal7 51: I Have Thoughts About Vanilla Nels and Jesse have their minds freed by the fifth data pack in the Mumbad Cycle. Paths most noble, chelas most liberated and brains most stormed, The Liberated Mind is perhaps the most wonderfully weird data pack yet. And most importantly, you'll discover things about spices you never knew. 4. Terminal7 51: I Have Thoughts About Vanilla

Thanks! And one thing neither Jesse nor I realized until we were done the cast was Pupper Master is actually not bad with Media Blitz. So you either score it (ideally with Mushin no Shin) or the Runner steals it and then you hit it up Media Blitz and now you're dropping advancements left and right. But that together with a couple Overwriters, which nobody ever expects out of NBN, and you might just have something there!
  5. Terminal7 51: I Have Thoughts About Vanilla

Oh man, heading back to the beginning! I haven't listened to the old episodes ... basically ever. God, what a weird trip that would be. Maybe we'll have to do that sometime.
  6. Terminal7 50: The Sweetest Cyber-Butler Salsette Island's population is one of the highest and most dense of any island in the world. It's also got some of the fanciest, most exclusive parties and the most sophisticated bioroid butlers in all of the three worlds. What does the four data pack in the Mumbad Cycle offer? Join Nels and Jesse in crashing the soirée and find out! 9. Terminal7 49: Super New India

Terminal7 49: Super New India Clone suffrage is the biggest political question in the Indian Union, but there is an even more fundamental question beneath it- are clones human? Echoing back to the outlawed caste system, the answer seems obvious on its surface. But the consequence are more wide-spread than they might first appear. If clones are people with the right to vote, does that mean Jinteki can now simply print new voters, genetically engineered toward a certain ideology? Whatever the outcome, the actions leading up to that decision will change the world's largest democracy forever. Terminal7 discusses those questions and more as they break down the third data back in the Mumbad cycle, Democracy & Dogma. 10. Godddddd yes, this is delicious. Well done!
  11. It doesn't make for good radio, but Judson Cowan did a very nice visualization for the various Dark Souls' world structures that I thought encapsulated things really well: (That middle one for DSII could just as easily be Demon's Souls as well)
  12. Terminal7 48: Priority Businessing We have arrived at the Gujarat district of Mumbad, home to the most prolific and advanced agricultural technology in all of the Indian Union. Jinteki's Pālanā Foods division is boasting breakthrough after breakthrough. But runners throughout the union are asking just how Jinteki is making those breakthroughs and at what cost. Rumours swirl about a defective clone line- is a scandal about to break? Join Nels and Jesse as they try to determine if Business truly is First in the second data pack of the Mumbad cycle. 13. Terminal7 47: Clone-Ridden Fields Nels and Jesse have taken the IDs selected by the community to a Store Championship. How did they fare? Was The Professor's tenure enough to shield him from the prying eyes of the Near-Earth Hub? Did Jinteki's new mind-mapping algorithms keep their servers safe from nefarious runners? A report and many listener questions are answered in this most clone-ridden of fields. 14. Terminal7 47: Clone-Ridden Fields

Oh interesting! I kinda had tried a setup like that and it wasn't bad, but it was also only sorta okay, haha. I did like the Hayley setup more, but this is perhaps worth revisting. I'd probably put in 3 Technical Writers though, because if you're install a lot of programs/hardware, good lord TR is incredible.
  15. The Idle Book Club 11: Fates and Furies

Haven't finished the cast yet but I'm really enjoying listening to Chris and Sarah's takes on it. But one thing I couldn't get over in the second half of the book was
  16. Terminal7 46: A Black Stone Horse Terminal7 finds itself in India! The sights, the sounds, the smells- like nothing we've seen before. 19. The Idle Book Club 11: Fates and Furies

Haha, okay, that's good to hear! I wasn't really planning on bailing, but at least now I won't feel like I've got an infinite highway of disinterest ahead of me.
  20. The Idle Book Club 11: Fates and Furies

Heh, I've been try to resist posting this, but it's all of think about when working my way through the book, so I'm going to try and purge this demon now and maybe I'll be able to focus on book again. Also, there's really no way to phrase this without sounding like a complete turdman, so I'm just going to go for it. I'm closing in on halfway through the book and ... does it get better? I enjoyed the opening bits, but it's been a parade of increasingly unlikeable characters and uninteresting plot for quite a while now. With the exception of By Blood (and Hemingway, which is just so not my thing), I was totally into the Classic Book Club selections even though they weren't the kind of books I normally read. The praise for Fates & Furies was not insignificant but man, I don't really get it. Maybe there's a turn part of the way through and I just need to hear a "press on, brave one." More details in spoilertown:
  21. Terminal7 45: I Have Mapped a Lot of Minds The ballot boxes have been unsealed and the votes have been tallied. The result? Our listeners are kind but cruel! Terminal7's audience have selected the IDs Nels & Jesse will play for the next while. But what did they select? And how will Terminal7 approach their selections? The only way to find out is to jack in and hit play. 23. Netrunner!

As promised (now that I'm back in Vancouver), let's talk about Netrunner! Who plays? Which factions? Why is this game so god damn awesome? On the insane off chance, if anyone lives in Vancouver and wants me to teach them how to play, I'm happy to do so. Otherwise, if anyone plays on OCTGN, maybe arrange a Thumbs night on there or something? I'm happy to teach people who already know the game how to play on OCTGN too, despite it being an unholy mess. (I realize Netrunner isn't technically a Vidja Gaem, but I think it's close enough)

  25. Terminal7 44: The Popo's Clampdown It's 2016 and he NAPD has a New Year's resolution- to kick down doors of Runners and Corporations alike all across New Angeles. Their Most Wanted List has introduced a potentially huge shakeup into how tournament decks are constructed. But not to be outdone by the NAPD, Nels and Jesse have a heap of changes of their own. New resolutions abound, include a promise to clamp down on our own flightiness. Instead of drifting from deck to deck, they're going to focus on a pair of IDs each. But which IDs? That's up for the listeners to decide! Log your vote here and in a week, Nels and Jesse will take the top selections and focus on those decks for the next several months, at least. http://goo.gl/forms/XzmD6CZWV8 Games Discussed: Android: Netrunner Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes Subscribe to the RSS Feed Ed Harrison's NeoTokyo OST
