I Had A Random Thought...

Recommended Posts

This email just gave me the giggles this morning. Slipknot: One step above buying your cat a bowtie.

Wow I had no idea both Slipknot AND Korn still existed.

I just realized I get Steven Wright and Will Wright confused all the time.

So every once in a while I'll see a funny quote attributed to Steven Wright and think, "Wow, the guy who made all those Sim games sure is funny! I didn't know he was a comedian, too!"

Why does UPS send me a delivery notification by email if there is literally no way to change the time of delivery or otherwise inform them that I will not be at home? I can change the day, but there's no option to have them not deliver at 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. It's like they're taunting me.

Hah, apparently I'm in the permanent moderation queue at Rock Paper Shotgun. Guess I've been stroppy/bitched about John Walker one too many times.

It occurred to me earlier today that someone has probably asked a wedding officiator to say "I now pronounce you man and waifu".

I had to choose between broadband at 3Mb or fibre optic at 100Mb at my new place. The cost was £4 more/month for the 100Mb. Guess what I chose?

I found out that down the road from my new place, there's a €2 Euro shop (dollar store equivalent) that specialises in adult toys.

I did not expect the venn diagram of these two shop categories to intersect.

I hear complaints like this a lot. Maybe its a sign that someone should start a business for sitting at your house waiting for your package when you can't be there.

...probably need to have waivers to sign to prevent lawsuits if something is wrong with the package, of course. Obviously would need some sort of official uniform so people don't think they're about to be scammed by some nobody claiming to wait for the package...

Yeas ago I got a box at a UPS Store for the handful of times a year when I knew I won't be home to get a package.  Since then I've begun using it exclusively to have my packages shipped to.  I think it's about $60 a year, and totally worth it for me.  Also super useful to have a second physical address I can use when I don't want to give out my home address.  Thanks to it and Google Voice, there are retailers I've bought a lot of stuff from who have never seen my actual home address or home/cell number.

I'm actually taking a sick day on Destiny launch day because I actually feel sick.

There's some kind of irony going on there.

Why do women's restrooms have couches in them?  I am assuming this is a common occurrence having not seen it with my own eyes except for the occasional glimpse when someone goes through the door.

I was always under the impression that it was intended for pregnant women.

One women's restroom fact that kinda surprised me but completely makes sense is that apparently every stall has a trash can in it (well not every stall everywhere, obviously, but it's apparently a common thing). Weird how easy it is to not think about the biological needs of the other gender.

I sort of figured the same thing, but then I started wondering if a chair would be enough.  From the very few times I've seen the inside of a women's restroom, it usually has a couch rather that a chair.  Maybe so they can lay down if necessary?  I'm trying not to make any assumptions but it's hard not to speculate.  Trash cans make total sense though.

It's for fainting onto when your corset is too tight, or when you need to get a manual pelvic massage because of your hysteria.
