I might resort to that if I can't come up with it myself.  I went to bed with the tune in my head hoping it would come to me in dream which I could then send in to reader mail.  Alas, nothing.

A lot of the latter ones are just games I've never played, and some I never even heard of, so I wouldn't feel bad about cheating just to get to see all those sweet checkmarks.

Bah. After Toblix revealed the answers were just Javascript, I took a peek. I know the answers now, but I won't spoil them for people. I will give you a clue, however:

Both are arcade games from the mid-80s.

After some guessing (and no cheating), number 2 is

Double Dragon

I think the reason I had a hard time was that I never actually played the game, but heard the music in the arcade when I was younger.

I have no idea what the others are.

Medium 14 is

Gauntlet!

I think the only things I had never heard were sports games and Amiga games.

Level 3: 14 -- I had no idea, but jesus, that shit makes my ears bleed.

Medium 2:

Bimmy and Jimmy! Although I never managed to get past the forest stage, that tune has been forever burned into my mind. Seriously, what the fuck are you supposed to do in that stage??

You're beautiful. You're beautiful, it's true. There must be an angel with a smile on her face, Because we have completed Level 2.

Yeah, it's quite an obscure one. I remember it when it came out on the Spectrum, but I never played it in the arcade. If you didn't play games in the mid-80s, you're never going to get it.

Did horace goes skiing have music? Nope, fuck

It sounds like a Kung fu beat em up style game. Like Bad Dudes Vs. DragonNinja

Shall we just give up and call this a collective failure.

Lol. If nobody has played it, then I guess no one is going to get it. One final clue: It was one of the first "extreme sports" games. (Although not very extreme by today's standards.)
