How long is it? I might stay up since it's already late... even though I have to wake up in 5 and a half hours... :|

You doubt it? Damn... I'm at the point we're I'll feel bad if I go to be since it's starting in 15 minutes, but I don't want to stay up until 2 AM! Maybe I'll just watch a little and see what happens?

Aaaaaaaaaand the streams died. Goodnight, you princes of Maine. You kings of New England. I'm gonna watch some porn then go to bed.

Yeah just watched a bit on GT, that's the only one I can get to loads. The guys talking about gigaflops I think I'm gonna go to bed. That intro pissed all over my hype, I've lost all interest

Would built in pause and resume, recording and streaming pique your interest again?

Nah, just disappointed "Yay more shooting!"

But some of the rest was good. A lot less "look, awkward fake family having fun on stage!" stuff that MS has done recently. Looking forward to Watchdogs and that Suckerpunch thing, as well as The Witness but I'll just buy that on the PC. Maybe all but the Infamous on the PC actually. Unfortunately no other actual... game was shown really. Where's Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian?

Post Script! Oh, and that car thing was shown. That dude was creepy as fuck, half expect that he jerks off to new car pictures at home or something. Rather over zealous there. If you don't know what I'm talking about, find the Car Club or whatever it was and just watch, try not to cringe when he says things like "carbon" or "strap in".

It's important to remember that Call of Duty sells like twenty million copies. What The Games Industry Looks Like is going to be distorted by that, in the same way that if you look at the movies advertised you'd think the vast majority of them were dumbass. (The movie industry is lucky that it doesn't really need wide-band product launches - its highest profile event is the Oscars, which are explicitly prestige-focused.)

Gaming is mainstream these days. That's the price we pay for a wider market, for there to be a market for different experiences.

The social gaming features—and the work Sony's putting into growing the platform itself and making it easier for developers—will be far more important than any of the games, exclusive or not, shown today. It's also the stuff that's hardest to demo, so I guess we'll see!

Group chat was fun! Made all the blahblahblah a little more bearable.

I'm guessing they're saving the brunt of the stuff for E3, but it was kind of strange that they showed the Playstation KinectEyething but didn't talk about it at all.

Oh yea, and a puffy looking Jake briefly took to the stage and showed a head.

They're also the least interesting thing to base a console on.

Then what should a console be based on? Frankly it's a little brilliant. People love watching others playing games, or sharing games, I've seen people take turns playing a single player game and the like. Making that possible and easy for people seems a good bet.

I liked how David Cage Jake showed a graph of increasing polygon counts over the years, then Media Molecule came up right after denouncing the "tyranny of the polygon"
