zerofiftyone Posted October 31, 2014 I actually became a convert to "video game" from "video game" this year This surprises and delights me every time someone triggers it.
Nachimir Posted October 31, 2014 At least it doesn't capitalise it anymore.
Spenny Posted November 3, 2014 In the office, we had a little game jam. My team made a game called Dot Monster, which combines the puzzle game Dots with an RPG mechanic. Our animator did some really cool stuff with the monster and background, which scales from being the size of a blade of grass to being bigger than the planet. The game was made for Android, and you can get it here.
Noyb Posted November 8, 2014 The past few months I finally finished up a freeware PC game vidcon I previously left abandoned for three years: The Illogical Journey of the Zambonis. It's a riff on an old 90s edutainment puzzle game, narrated in the style of an Eastern European fable and featuring puzzling scenarios, full voice acting and horrible clipart. Cleinhun Posted November 10, 2014 Oh hey, I remember playing that years ago. It was weird. I will have to give this version a shot.
Joewintergreen Posted November 10, 2014 Oh man, I played that. The computers at my primary school had it. The backgrounds were in some format savable by ms paint, so I would open them up and write crass but subtle graffiti on the walls and people would spot it later and be weirded out. In hindsight I guess that was probably my first foray into modding.

Roderick Posted November 23, 2014 The Zambonis have really taken hold of the internet. The time has come for me to try it, Noyb! As for myself, after a really solid first half year of book sales, I've witnessed them petering out a little recently. So I'm curious to see if I can give it a Christmas holiday boost by making a little ad and putting it online. It's Dutch, but it features a typically corny bit of poetry. Nothing says 'buy my shit' like poor rhyming. (Link to the online store)
Thermaldetonator Posted November 25, 2014 Like everyone else, I write about video games on the internet. Here's my portfolio site: http://www.marshallsandoval.com/portfolio/
TheHollowNight Posted December 5, 2014 I make things, occasionally video games, occasionally music, and rarely music for video games. I made my portfolio website using Squarespace (before it was cool pfftt) so i guess I should plug that. http://www.aseaton.squarespace.com/ I'm going to slowly turn it into a more traditional site, rather than it be a public show piece of my crap. I'd like to write more about my work as a developer, do opinion pieces and do videos/audio casts and streams and other cool shit. Also I need to buy a sweet domain name. More recent music stuff is located on my soundcloud, though most of it is unfinished versions of things I'm working on. https://soundcloud.com/axionmusic
osmosisch Posted December 5, 2014 Oh my god Rodi that rhyme is so bad it literally made me a little angry.

Nachimir Posted December 5, 2014 I reviewed a load of cameras for the latest issue of Singletrack. It's not online, but in issue 94 if you're interested in mountain bikes or action cameras, and you can see a scan of the page with my face looking stupid at that link. Apple Cider Posted December 5, 2014 I do a variety of things online, and I definitely already posted in the podcast thread before I saw this one, eek. Podcasts I host or produce: http://justicepoints.com (gaming/feminism oriented) http://trashartandtelevision.com (TV media critique with lots of laughs) My writing: http://applecidermage.com (gaming, mostly) I will also come back and edit because I think my first published piece on gaming is going up on Paste Games today. BigJKO Posted December 5, 2014 I made a point and click adventure game for the Point and Click Jam. It's super short and not hard, so go! Play it! http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/the-exciting-space-adventures-of-greg-and-linda/38367/
Ben X Posted December 5, 2014 I got as far as two characters getting mysteriously beamed aboard an alien spaceship and then quit because I don't like PLAGIARISM.

SuperBiasedMan Posted December 5, 2014 Everybody's ben there with their games and dan that so I don't think you can claim plagiarism. The game was good! Definitely approve of it being short and easy so I actually finished it, unlike most adventure games.
Ben X Posted December 5, 2014 I don't think you can claim plagiarism. I definitely can, and what's more I'll sue him for every øre he's got.

Play it! http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/the-exciting-space-adventures-of-greg-and-linda/38367/ Argh, this is fucking gorgeous, and pretty funny. (I think that being able to make simple, pretty point and click adventures is a talent that I am insanely jealous of.)
BigJKO Posted December 5, 2014 I definitely can, and what's more I'll sue him for every øre he's got. Shut just got real! I'm fairly certain the judge will look at the 8 frame walk cycle and immediately dismiss the case. Rubix! Thanks so much! I've never made a point and click before so I'm just surprised I managed to make something playable at all in two weeks!
