gdf Posted January 27, 2009 Long but interesting article on how to break into game design. I'm fairly sure there was a bit on one of the Thumbs episodes when he talked about it. Anyway, here's the linky: http://www.edge-online.com/blogs/how-break-game-design-with-zero-experience

nonamermcgee Posted February 4, 2009 All very true, great article. EDGE is a great magazine, one of the very few I subscribe too, and the only game one really (outside GameDeveloper Mag, but that comes free somehow).
gdf Posted February 4, 2009 I applied to freelance for them, but they didn't reply. I want to end up as a staffer on the magazine, but I need to get a break into games journalism first
nonamermcgee Posted February 5, 2009 It seems like a cool place to work. I love how untraditional the magazine content is vs. most mainstream gaming magazines, which is probably what attracts me to it. I hooked up one of their editors with my girlfriends Dad. I think they are going to write an article on him. That would be cool.
