Today I learned I shouldn't force the hand of my boss.

I forced his hand because in World of Warcraft I refused to venture into Outland, but instead kept on doing low-level quests with low-level gear to acquire reputation with all the Horde factions. It's fun.

But it also forced my boss' hand, and now he has renamed an Alliance Rogue "TomZarek" and migrated him to my server, with the specific plan of relentlessly hunting me down and ganking me continuously, until I am forced to go to Outland to gear up.

I learned that Lobstermen are armoured like a motherfucking panzer division, and will take everything you can throw at them for at least a couple of rounds. For this reason you should be sure to take at two Coelecanth Remote Weapons Platforms with you, just to give them something to lob grenades at other than your soft, squishy X-COM operatives.

I learned that waiting for hours and hours for an important call/email isn't a lot of fun, especially when that call/email gets postponed to the next day. I also learned that sleeping can be hard when you are expecting potentially amazing news.

While reading the DeathSpank thread, I was directed to the YouTube Comment Snob plugin which in turn led me to Stupid Filter.

From there I learned the interwibble slang Eternal September, previously unknown to me. I think I joined in '93

It's cheaper to buy a jar of better quality hot chocolate powder from the super market, than it is to buy a "medium" ready-made choccy from the franchised coffee shop next door.

For their coffee, I can understand paying a premium for the "freshly made" bit. But for hot chocolate, they just spoon out some catering-grade powder from a big pot, add it to some steamed milk and charge you the same price as the coffee fuck you very much.
