DanJW Posted April 17, 2008 I like your orange cables.
ysbreker Posted April 17, 2008 Are those fiber cables? Are you getting gigabit internet at your home? If so congratulations! If not, nice TV!
toblix Posted April 17, 2008 Yeah, fiber'll come through those, providing me with the internets and televisions. No gigabit, though.
Nachimir Posted April 18, 2008 Congrats. I am slightly jealous of your fibre, being on asymmetric copper cables put every-fucking-where in this town for cable TV about 15 years ago. I did get a living room upgrade at the weekend though. Until Sunday, there was a monster of a CRT and a huge square unit taking up far too much space. Now, plasma goodness and the housemate's PS3 has come out of hiding

ysbreker Posted April 18, 2008 actually, I believe that lcd tv's use less power than crt's.
Nachimir Posted April 18, 2008 Hmm, that thing is plasma and much bigger than the old one though 32" CRT - 109W to 165W42" Plasma - 230W to 405W 40/42" LCD - 169W to 240W I think I hear polar bears drowning.
