I seem to be finding a lot of artists I enjoy via commercials these days.

That's some craaaaap kendo in that video, Orvidos. That's not even remotely what it's actually like. What's the point of using kendo fighting in a video if you're not going to show actual kendo fighting, but instead a pair of morons swinging around their swords like the Star Wars kid?

I know absolutely nothing about kendo beyond the terrifying WARPSPEED BEATINGS I've seen in videos of top-level kendo. It's just for the music, the video is stupid in every way.

As evidenced by the man alone on a chair, singing at the wall with a pained expression.

Zammuto (formerly of The Books) put out his first solo album earlier this year and I've fallen deeply in love with it. Here's the full album stream.

Here's a track on youtube, for people who don't want to leave the forum page. But I had a hard time picking just one song; this one may not be the most common pick.

First, something interesting, not to mention quite good.

Second, a classic that has been stuck in my head for a few days now. Thanks XKCD.

My favorite band right now along with Sigur Ros. If you don't like it at first, please give them another chance, it's worth it.

Only use the video ID with youtube tags.

Anyway, good stuff! I'm glad that Feistodon turned out to be exactly what I expected.

I don't know why, over the years, Stephen Rippy has so utterly managed to capture my memory and imagination, but he really has.

I remember this music even better than I remember Jeremy Soule's (he of Elder Scrolls and Guild Wars composing.)

It sounds like we might, at last, be getting a new Aphex Twin album this year! :woohoo:

Here's RDJ doing his tweaky acid-techno-hardcore-jungle thing in Paris last year, including some clever realtime video performance stuff:

I'm not ashamed to say the chorus for this makes the hairs on my arms stand up--fantastic depth of sound to it, particularly with his keen vocals.

I can't stop listening to the new Death Grips. It's like James Murphy on crack.

Absolutely. The video is completely stupid and makes no sense, but the song itself is just . Totally recommend you check out some of his other stuff, Wrestle.
