Hermie Posted November 25, 2011 Indie game music for cheap today! Worth it for the VVVVVV soundtrack alone. (Note: I haven't heard most of the other ones)

Sleepdance Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) Is anybody here into ambient music? http://soundcloud.com/ramjac/beatlescompletebkwds (don't turn the volume down!) Edited December 6, 2011 by Sleepdance
Nachimir Posted December 7, 2011 That's kind of brilliant. I'd also recommend this very slowed down version of the Jurassic Park theme.
Orv Posted December 7, 2011 That's kind of brilliant. I'd also recommend this very slowed down version of the Jurassic Park theme. I think I might have a new background song for playing video games. That was surprisingly wonderful.
Sleepdance Posted December 8, 2011 Yeah, it's excellent.
Orv Posted December 14, 2011 Silent Hill and games like it bore me to death, but someone pointed this out to me recently and damn if I don't enjoy it. 6LB7LZZGpkw
Roderick Posted December 14, 2011 It's great music. Also check out You're Not Here from SH3: (Don't watch the video though, it's pretty annoying)

Garple Posted December 18, 2011 Silent Hill and games like it bore me to death, but someone pointed this out to me recently and damn if I don't enjoy it. I remember that song from a trailer for the game. It is awesome and it really tied together all the images being presented. Sometimes, trailers can be a sort of art form in and of themselves. juv3nal Posted December 29, 2011 So, I just found out about Daptone Records recently and pretty much everything they do is freaking awesome. They do retro style soul/funk. Start here for some links to youtube samples. Also, put on this playlist (instrumental) and pretend you are Fred Williamson in Black Caesar.
miffy495 Posted December 30, 2011 Shit yes, Sharon Jones is fantastic. Her live shows are amazing.

Kolzig Posted February 12, 2012 I've been mostly listening to the new Van Halen album for the past week. The first song Tattoo was weak, but it's all great after that. I had my doubts regarding the fat kid, but his handling his part quite well actually. DLR is legend and that's a fact. I had a laugh when I saw an article that somebody made regarding the album cover of Van Halen's album, it's straight copy from Commodore's 70's album cover. Korax Posted February 27, 2012 So, you guys like ska? Well, then have I- wait, what? "Not really?" But it's so bouncy, and those horns- How can you not like horns? Okay, fine. What do you like? "Wobble bass?" Oh, you guys are a bunch of fucks. Fuck you all. Anyway, these guys had a track come up on RBN recently, and I thought it was pretty good. They've got a free EP for download, so maybe check them out or something. Assholes. Xqn7f3JQVbc
miffy495 Posted February 27, 2012 Dude, ska is awesome. Just because a lot of people here are big into electronic doesn't mean the rest of us don't exist. EDIT: On listening, I quite liked it. Good stuff. The vocals were a little clean for my liking though, I have to say. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, it's just with punk/ska stuff my tastes tend towards the lower of the fidelities. Still, if there's a free EP to be had I'll certainly check out what else they have on offer.
