Lechimp Posted September 1, 2006 http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/43680 Hopefully they can do a better job at marketing than Majesco, they probably can.
miffy495 Posted September 1, 2006 Cool. Good to know.
Marek Posted September 1, 2006 I knew they were working on something new but I was still a little nervous about publisher support. This is good news. A Double Fine title published by Vivendi with proper distribution and marketing could see some nice sales.
Roderick Posted September 1, 2006 Vivendi, that's good news. They're pretty neutral in my book, so I'm not complaining.
Kolzig Posted September 1, 2006 Vivendi is a big firm, this is good news. They have the capabilities to really do some quality marketing for Tim's next game.
Karimi Posted September 1, 2006 Good news. Doublefine isn't dead yet !
lobotomy42 Posted September 2, 2006 Hey, that's kind of ironic! Since Sierra On-Line was bought out by Vivendi Games back in the day and Tim Schafer (and presumably much of the rest of Double Fine) used to work on LucasArts adventure games... It's sort of like Tim Schafer has now found employment at Sierra, the adventure-game arch-rival of LucasArts! Wow! He's switched sides! Isn't that so incredibly amazingly ironic?!? Or it would be, if it were 1994...
toblix Posted September 2, 2006 And then irony would be a novel concept, also.
Aussie Ben Posted September 3, 2006 And, ALSO! Apparently Vivendi is making a new 3D Ultra Minigolf AND The Incredible Machine for Live Arcade! I think that's pretty awesome news. Doesn't rival the Double Fine news, but still pretty damn sweet. I loved The Incredible Machine. All the billion different versions of it.
Noyb Posted September 4, 2006 The Incredible Machine rocked! The cartoon version of it was pretty rad, too. Great news for Tim & co. If any artist deserves financial solvency, it's him.
