Kenty Posted May 12, 2006 bollocks: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/wii/e306-wii-wifi-to-use-those-stupid-ing-friend-codes-173327.php I don't mind the long codes so much, I just hate the nause of having to rebuild your friend list from scratch for each new Wifi capable game. Also no way to know if any of your friends are even online... on DS we have to use MSN and IRC to 'arrange' our multiplayer sessions, it's a real shame if it has to be like that on Wii too. elmuerte Posted May 12, 2006 would have been easier if you could simply point the controller in the general direction of where your friend lives and find him\her like that.
Steve Posted May 14, 2006 they've got time to tighten up the system.. but maybe considering their overall lower financial investment, they can't afford the infrastructure to support an Xbox Live-like matching service.
-MaSQuE- Posted May 14, 2006 "Like the DS WiFI" doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be similar to it. I can't see how they'd add the functionalities they've been babblin' about without at least perfecting the service for their console system.
David Posted May 14, 2006 I'm only posting in this thread to copyright the phrase "WiiFi".
nsps Posted May 15, 2006 Before I scrolled down to the bottom, I was imagining WiiFii.
