Probably a retarded idea but what the hell...

Madden 2006

 Even with a monopoly on NFL games, the Madden series is just as good as it was before.

:tmeh: Even with a monopoly on NFL games, the Madden series is just as good as it was before.

 The combat sucks ass

Boiling Point: Road to Hell

 Awesome concept.

:tmeh: Shoddy story.

 Buggy as all get-out.

F.E.A.R. demo

 Awesome combat.

:tmeh: Goofy story, decal graphics are iffy, weightless physics.

 About as scary as March of the Penguins.

FlatOut demo

 The crashes! Oh god, the crashes!

:tmeh: Cars slide like greasy lightening.

 The Windshield-Launch is touchy.

Pikmin

 Fun to play. Pikmins are adorable and make an aww sound. There's a vampire beetle (it's not really a vampire, but it has fangs!).

 30 day time limit was a terrible idea. Pikmin suffer from an apparent case of ADD.

:tmeh: Last boss required suicide Pikmin.

Katamari Damacy

 Incredibly fun and just plain weird/original.

:tmeh: I have yet to collect Godzilla.

 What do you mean I can't collect the sea?

ICO

 Stunning. Makes no effort to imitate anything.

 Fight sequences are a little redundant and occur too often.

:tmeh: I got I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles stuck in my head every time I think of it for some reason. (Perhaps this should be a thumbs up...)

I like collecting the Cow-Man and those pigeons that move around in shoes. Damn pigeons.

And it's always fun to collect giant octopuses and buildings full of people. Damn people.

 And I collected what I thought was Godzilla today,

:tmeh: Apparently it's called Mogran.

 I thought it was Godzilla... ;(

Well, I guess it sort of makes sense if you're talking about Pikmin...

Well the guy I was responding to understood it, so that's good enough for me. :shifty:

Morrowind (Rodi-version):

 : well-written fiction within the gaming world, enormous catalogue of lore and history. It's like a Tolkien appendix rolled into a game!

:tmeh: : the surroundings, though astounding, could have used more landmarks that really make it an interesting environment. The ashlands can become boring after the hundredth blighted kilometre.

 : Cliffracers and enemy models. World doesn't notice anything you do, so there's only superficial interactivity.

Speaking of Morrowind, though entirely off topic for this thread, Target stores have the Game Of The Year edition with both add-ons for the game for $5 dollars now. And not the Jewel case version, either, I'm talking about the full, in-box one that comes with the manual and map and everything. That's worth a  , I think.

Wot a bargain! I'd buy it if they'd have that here. We only have a flimsy DVD-box with the game and expansions.

Armed & Dangerous

 Good design, character wrtiting , wonderful music and .. fucking great weapons

:tmeh: The humor within the cutscenes is...well... not that successfull. Your useless companions. The gameplay?

 What is wrong with the writers?! There's hardly any link between the cutscenes and the mission! And oh, the french translation and acting is very bad. [like they turn the "turn them into french" joke into " turn them into english"... that isn't funny anymore ] :frusty:

Ring 2

 Druillet & Wagner.. waou!

 Can't make it work after the installation ... even if the box says " Runs on XP "

World of Warcraft :

 : Great graphics,style,atmosphere.

:tmeh: : More people play alliance.

 : Not much group action, solo most of the time with the occasional group instance.

Fallout 2:

 : Excellent story , not linear, lots of freedom.

:tmeh: : Action is a bit difficult and long.

 : Buggy, even after patch . Not much change from Fallout 1. Feels incomplete.

Psychonauts :

 : A LOT of style, great story , very funny.

:tmeh: : Its a platformer (not that thats a bad thing)

 : Meat Circus.

More people play Alliance? On my server (Sargeras), the horde kicks the Alliance's ass in almost everything.

LeChimp, I know you have Ninendogs. Give us a quick review of that one. When I saw your name there, I thought "*gasp* Nintendogs review!" Then my hopes were dashed. C'mon man. Quit holdin out on us...

Sonic Gems Collection

 Sonic CD and all my Game Gear games are back!

 how come we get Sonic Drift 2 but not Sonic Drift?

:tmeh: What the hell is Fang supposed to be? (Sonic the Fighters)

God Of War

 Cool story, stylin' gameplay.

:tmeh: Gratuitous boobies. (We're gonna EARN that fuckin' M rating!)

 People who treat gratuitous boobies like a big deal.

Summer 2005

 A couple of good games released

:tmeh: But not many.

 Do we really need the new Madden THIS goddamn early?

:tmeh: Somewhat shallow characters, occasionally bland settings

 Way too easy, controls are kind of sucky

On most servers, Alliance way outnumber the Horde. The Horde kick the Alliance's ass however because they are so much better.

Yeah, but what if I only have Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Gems? I got the MC back when it was a GCN exclusive, dammit. Why am I punished for that?

Yup , its sort of like Warcraft 3 actually. The orcs are more expensive but stronger than the alliance footmen.

In WoW you have more alliance players but the horde players are much better. I guess its cause more "newbs" join the alliance to see night-elf booty.

Hey, I really like Chaos Theory. Yeah, it's more of the same, but no game makes you feel more like a silent machine of death. I got through the entire game killing absolutely noone except the people I was ordered to. Also, never set off an alarm. The game may not be anything special, but the emotional response to it is incredible. Splinter Cell is the best source for that "I am a ghost. A shadow. Absolute fuckin' death-on-a-stick. Booyah." feeling that you can find.
