The same is true for pretty much all smartphone/tablet ports of PC/console games. The are exceptions though, allow me to list...

 

My favourite iOS ports of PC games:

FTL - possibly even better on a tablet than PC!

XCOM - aaaaalmost as good as on PC.

Carmageddon - Yeah, I know, weird. I actually played through the whole thing on iPad and enjoyed it more than the PC version back in the 90's. I don't know what to say. The heart wants what it wants OK

I loved it! A Blockbuster rental that allowed me to complete the game. I adored the seasonal approach to the environments. Not enough games allow for passage of time well, if at all.

I beat Bully on iOS. I really liked it. It has virtual buttons like the GTA ones, so not optimal controls, but it has auto targeting so it wasn't too hard for me to control. However, I am really good with virtual buttons. 😛

It does feel like this port is better than the GTA ones, controls are a bit more smoothed out, load times and saving the game are almost instant etc.
