Name this game...

Hello! My girlfriend wants me to find an old game that she used to play as a kid, but she doesn't know much about it and it sounds pretty obscure to me (maybe not?). If anyone can name this game I'd be very grateful!

Apparently, you play a wizard, and from what I can gather, it's a sort of top-downy mazey type thing. Also, it plays 'Greensleeves' when you play the game.

She's unsure of the system, but it was probably on the Amstrad CPC or (possibly) the Amiga 500.

A test to your gaming knowledge!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks alot!

- Johnny

King's Quest II starts off with a synthesized version of Greensleeves.

That's not the game you're talking about (probably not), but I always loved that opening.

King's Quest came to mind as soon as you mentioned Greensleeves, but the platform doesn't seem to fit. If it is one of the KQ games (there are about 8 in total) you're probably after 1, 2 or 3; later games have a different graphical style. I don't think you actually play a wizard, but wizards are certainly ever-present.

Point your girlfriend towards the screenshots and see if they look familiar.

You can download some updated VGA versions of KQ 1&2 from here: http://www.agdinteractive.com/

We checked out Spherical... apparently it looks kind of right, but there was no Greensleeves playing. The Wizard looked right, though.

Any luck finding that disc RLacey? :)
