SCREW MP3 Players TO HELL

Recommended Posts

Primal instincts urging me to smash MP3 player against wall, or smack sharply against knee. Common sense coaxingly telling me to preserve it as evidence for manufacturers warranty. Primal insticts winning. Winning. Winning.

Anger turns to denial. Attempt to turn MP3 player on. Nothing happening. Anger turns to emotion. Tears welling in eyes. Primal instincts fade. Emotions take over. Collapse. Emotion does not lead to acceptance. Still not leading to acceptance.

Primal insticts return, urging me to bite/taste MP3 player. Tastes vaguely of Duran Duran.

JESUS HELL CHRIST, IT JUST WENT ON.

I took out the battery and licked it. I'm actually not joking. I must have 'turned it on', HA HA HA!!!

I'm delighted! I'm delighted beyond my wildest dreams! Ha ha, next time a customer comes into PC world and complains that their Zen won't turn on, I shall lick their battery too!

What the hell?! It wouldn't even charge, and then I tasted the battery? Maybe I should try that with my phone, which has been acting dumb for the past year. Hee hee ha ha hee!!!

But I am confused. It died very suddenly, and there doesn't seem to be any real explanation as to why it came back on... I'd already tried removing the battery several times... even messaging it. Oh, look, never mind. Somebody delete this thread? I don't ever want to be reminded again that I can get this angry.

Hey, why do I deserve it? There isn't illegal music on it, if that's what you mean.

I was kidding. Really, though, I'm sorry to hear this.

I never got anything as expensive, but I got a 100-dollar MP3 player a year-and-a-half ago and it too just went kaput 8-9 months into the purchase. Because I moved residences within that time I couldn't even use my warranty to replace it, because I lost the whole proof of purchase thingy! :erm:

I was as annoyed as you are now. Maybe a little less, though. :P

I was especially pissed off because I've had a run of bad luck with technology recently...

1. I'm on dial-up and can't get broadband, meaning I can't play the Psychonauts demo yet.

2. Our shower packed up and left us on FRIDAY (meaning we didn't have it all weekend since nobody would come out to repair it), and until we have it repaired washing is very uncomfortable.

3. MP3 player.

4. My phone has been slow and sluggish since I bought it, and I was told that it would be away for nearly six weeks being repaired. Since I need my phone for quite important reasons other than socialising, I can't not have it that long, and so will have to put up with it.

5. My computer has fallen woefully behind in every way possible.

6. Sony Copyright Goddamn Protection.

7. My expensive and beautiful Yamaha keyboard broke down a few weeks ago, and is now connected permanently to it's own power lead through an intricate jungle of interconnected wires or some shit. Basically, it's on it's last legs and I need a new keyboard. I have my eye on a sexy Casio one, but I'm afraid it will explode.

8. A customer yelled at me on Sunday afternoon because Epson stopped manufactering cartridges for his printer.

9. My Mom's computer needs a new modem since the old one broke down.

10. My Silver Pen ran out of silver.

See? Technology has turned it's back on me. I have reason to be angry.

You've got an interesting 'anger' history.

I wish you LUCK.

Technology doesn't need you any more, it's making its own way in the world without you.

So long, sister! It's over!

Maybe you have magical powers that drain technology, like in Visionaries! (Knights of the Magical Lighttm)
