Xmas games for little Jack

Recommended Posts

While I think it's rockin' to bring out these "mega collections" of the classics, I always have the feeling that there was something lost in translation. It may be the lack in nostalgia, since I'm used to it being on my old clunker Genisis. Whether by game collection, or the system it was originally designed for, I like the idea ofpicking up the old games. Aside from having the child develop an appreciation for what we now have, it also provides cheap, quality, entertainment for everone. I always loved it when my elder brother and I played as Sonic and Tails, and I don't see why a child and their parent wouldn't either. :)

As cool as that appears to be - it doesn't support 60Hz, only 50. And anyone that's played Sonic or any other game on 50, hasn't actually played the game at all.

I still want it.

True, that's a shanzzy product, but you lose out on the togetherness of wiping the floor with Robotnik across Casino Night Zone.

How about a Rayman game? I've never played them myself, but I imagine they'd provide a kid with some good solid platform action? A Rachet & Clank 2 demo I have looked promising too. I don't know any of those games in the suggested list apart from the Incredibles though, and although it's not a great game, it might be fun if he goes crazy over the film, which is apparently pretty popular... Anyone seen it?

Treesus, they sell those SEGA 6-in-1 controllers at the Toys-R-Us 5 mins from work. If only they had some way of using 2 of them to play the games 2 player, I'd have got one
