WJ6 Team Seeking

Recommended Posts

This thread is for folks seeking a team to work with! If you have a particular set of skills and want to contribute to someone elses game, post in this thread, preferably in the following format to make it easy for people to skim the thread and find you. You can also drop by the #wizardjam channel on the Idle Thumbs Slack channel and chat with people to find teammates. Or just drop in and chit-chat with us while you're working on your game! And if you find a team, please edit your post and note that.

This is the team seeking/LFG thread; if you have a game idea and want to recruit people, use the recruiting/LFM thread.

Format:

What I'm Doing: What you're able to contribute and your experience level

Contact Info: Your contact info (PM, email, whatever)

And optionally:
Time Zone: It's probably easier to work with people who aren't 12 hours off from you? But maybe it's fine.
Portfolio: A link to your portfolio / website / whatever if you have one, so people can check your style.

Then whatever else you want.

Example:

What I'm Doing:

Programming; I'm a web developer and don't know any game engines but would like to learn.

Contact info:

PM me on the forums or message me on the Idle Thumbs Slack channel

Time Zone:
EST (UTC -5) but I'm usually up late

Portfolio:

I've never made a video game but here's my website!  [LINK]

I've been programming for a long time and am a terrible artist, I'd like to team up with someone who has a little Unity experience that can help teach me and also do art. Willing to work 24 hours a day for 2 weeks straight and my cat can do a perfect Wario impression.

I suppose I'll be the one to break the seal. Like I imagine a lot of people, I am not sure how available I am going to be over the jam period but I will do my best!

What I'm Doing:

Music/Sound Design

I contributed to a few games in Wiz Jam 5, and am looking to get more experience. I'm definitely more interested in the music side of things, but I can do small bits of sound design if it is required.

Contact Info:

Here on the forums, on the slack (@atlantic), or via email at attlantic [dot] jam @ gmail [dot] com

Time Zone: GMT/UTC

Portfolio: For Wiz Jam 5 I contributed music and sound design to The Calster's A Thousand Dormant Machines, and music to Zirrrus' Prepare for the Jelly and BenX's The Robot's Lips.

Here's a Soundcloud link with all the music and more:

What I'm doing:  Mostly music, but if you'd like me to do something else I can probably figure something out. I'm good at 2d art and writing as well -- also programming, but primarily in Haxe/AS3 which aren't I think going to be used much in this Jam, though I'm sure I could pick up C# if I need to. I figure I have enough time to contribute moderately to two projects or substantially to one, but I'm probably going to be pretty busy for about a week during Christmas, from like the 19th through the 26th.

Contact Info: PM me here or on Slack
Time Zone: Pacific (-8)
Portfolio: I'm just gonna link music here, let me know if you wanna see anything re: the other stuff.

My contribution (music) for Wizard Jam 5

My contribution (game) for Wizard Jam 4

Soundtracks for both of these and others available here:

I didn't plan to participate to the WJ6 because I was not sure about being able to dedicate tons of time to make a project on my own and to figure which topic I should use. But maybe it could be cool to actually join a team this time.

What I'm Doing: Programmer (I use mainly löve2d for jams and I have a tiny bit of experience in Unity. Used to use a lot of C back in the days) and also design

Contact Info: twitter @NicMagnier or e-mail nmagnier@gmail.com

Time Zone: UTC +1 (Germany/France)
Portfolio: https://nicmagnier.itch.io/

I use a mac.

In general I could be solo programmer on a 2d game or be an additional programmer on a Unity project.

What I'm Doing: I do programming and game design. I'm soon to graduate from a Game Design & Production track and been working part-time on games for the last year. And been making games with Unity from 2013.

Contact Info: Lasd#2796 on Discord, https://twitter.com/LassiVPK on Twitter, Lasd on Slack

Time Zone: GMT+2 (Finland)
Portfolio: https://www.lassivapaakallio.com (First time actually linking this somewhere, but a lot of stuff slightly pushing boundaries)

I actually have a lot of time right now, so this kinda project seems great! So if you need a lot of programming/design help, I'm up for it.
