In Search of Paradise (2017 Edition) - IS DONE!

Hey folks, I'm making a VR version of my Wizard Jam game "In Search of Paradise". Started working on this early July at the start of my summer vacation with plans to finish it in a few weeks, before my vacation was over, but this beast just keeps growing and growing and the finish line is still some way off.

 

Here's the beta version from August 4th:

Works with Oculus, and kinda works with SteamVR.

Recent developments:

-Improved landscape. It has a helluva lot more rocks now.

-Radio that streams online radio stations. (just like in Euro Truck Simulator 2!)

 

 

And worry not, ye who still game in ye olde monitor-o-vision, I'll probably end up releasing a non-VR version of the VR version as well.

NOTE about SteamVR version:
It, uh, doesn't work very well. At least on my end, running on an Oculus Rift, it can take over a minute of starring at a blue skybox before the game's visuals show up. Same thing happens when you recenter the view. I would love for some Vive users to try this and see how it works. I'm hoping it's just an issue with Rifts. If any Unity/SteamVR devs out there know how to improve this, let me know. I've worked on it for hours now but I'm not getting anywhere.

 

Changelog:

Running a tad late, but...

 

In Search of Paradise (2017 Edition) HAS GONE GOLD!

 

Wrapped up the final things today. VR and non-VR builds have been built. Tomorrow I get up early and make a website and a trailer. Aiming for a release around noon.
