The Marfing Barfo
Hey, over here. Yeah, it's me. My friends call me Wide Boy. You can call me Wide Boy 64. So where's that other goatscaver? What? It's just you? You uncle-terder. You wod head. You goat-jashiping crassmicker. Fine. Let's get going. Take this pill, put on this nice mask. Try to blend in. Look happy. And hey, clotwizard: if you get caught, you're dead. I'm not coming back for you. You marfing barfo.

Discussed: We Happy Few, NBA 2K17, Super Mario Run, Far Cry 2, Wide-Boy 64

I can't speak to whatever a wide boy is, but that conversation was baffling to my sickness addled mind because there is a kind of glasses frames I sell called 'wide guyz', which are just eyeglass frames for people with real big heads. I thought you guys were talking about guys with big heads being weird gamers.

I feel like that reader mail about overhearing conversations in Overwatch parties is a nice feature article waiting to happen.

I can't believe I looked up an article on the pizza making robot.  The thing I don't see is a pizza dough tossing machine.  I guess that's fine if you trying to compete with Domino's or Papa's John's craptastic pizza but please don't try to tell me it's "artisan"

"We created her to spread your sauce perfectly, but not too perfectly, so the pizza still looks like an artisan product," Garden said.

Oh just shut up already you three-eyed warp sick hyper slug

Archon mode in StarCraft 2 works great when both players go in knowing what role they will play; hence it is not available for random teams; you have to be in a party with a friend to play. In a custom game, you can actually have more than two players per side, which is hugely chaotic but can be fun I guess? I've never played that way though. There's also another new co-op game-mode in Legacy of the Void that might suit Chris and Nick more if they're no longer interested in a competitive setting; modified campaign missions and new scenarios tweaked to be played co-operatively. This game mode is apparently more popular than every other multiplayer mode (single player of SC2 is still where the bulk of buyers start and stop playing the game) combined, according to a recent interview with the designer.

John Madden played football in college and was drafted by the Eagles. He had a career ending knee injury before he ever got to play a regular season game.

He's a Hall of Fame football coach, though. He won a Super Bowl as Head Coach for the Raiders. He ended up in broadcasting because he was famous for being a coach.

More on the subject of Anno numbers: this Vsauce video goes into more detail about why the digits that make up multi-digit numbers sum to 9

Y'all often approach describing the experience of noticing stuff you would have loved in your past but can no longer prioritize. I feel this a lot too. It's almost as if I personify things I've personally enjoyed intensely and at length, and by not giving it attention now, I'm diminishing its importance. It's a strong emotion I feel often and it mixes really strangely with consumer-culture where nostalgic brands have speculative worth for investors.

I bring all this up because both Far Cry 2 and Forge in Halo 3 were tools for such substantive, communal experiences for me in the past and I feel like a bad friend for not being there anymore. Did Chris say the the new Forge has bots? That sound kinda interesting. I always fantasized about being able to populate Halo 3 Forge maps with enemy A.I. This could be an interesting compromise.
