Netrunner babies

Recommended Posts

Reyturner, Horza and me are going to play some Netrunner but the whole card pool is gigantic. So we're going to play with only core cards at first. Every month or whatever we'll add an expansion (datapack).

We're going to play on http://www.jinteki.net/

Core cards are listed here https://netrunnerdb.com/en/set/core/images, also a good site to make a deck.

If anyone else wants to join in and play some Netrunner, Slack's the place to find who is up for it.

I'll gladly teach anyone the rules/how to use the UI on jinteki/netrunnerdb. There's also some starter decks so that you don't need to build decks right from the start.

I have been intrigued by Netrunner for a while. I played Magic: The Gathering as a kid, and this seems like a version of it that only wants a portion of all your money. However, head-to-head card gaming is not very convenient for me, since I usually meet the friends that are interested in card and board gaming in larger groups where it makes more sense to play 4+ player games.

I did not even consider the online option before. What is the etiquette here? Is there a way to pay for the "digital versions" or do I just buy the physical game in order to feel less dirty?

I don't have time to start learning the game right now, but I will definitely consider this at some later stage. Hopefully someone here is willing to spar with a noob then. :)

Ouuu, I'd be up for that! I haven't gone to my local Netrunner meetups in a long time.

As far as etiquette goes, I think jinteki.net lives in a gray area that FFG tolerates. There is no way to pay for a digital version.

I do encourage you to find the physical version if you find a liking in the rules. You'll realize there's some light bluffing possible that isn't in the M:tG that I knew years ago.
