The main reason I say it iterates on Dwarf Fortress is the fact that for each game the world history is procedurally generated in a way that sounds exactly like Tarn Adam's labor of love, Dwarf Fortress. You then adventure in that generated world, just like Dwarf Fortress Adventure mode. (Please, someone just give Tarn Adams and his brother a sinecure so they can work on DF forever. Thanks.) By Pixelmage Games, headed up by John Smedley. Patrick Rothfuss is helping with the writing.
