Was this thing optimised for anything less than a space shuttle?

I have 95% of the episodes locally on my iTunes (100% of them are on my dead laptop). iTunes has unfortunately decided to be helpful and rename all of the files for me, though, which is frustrating. I'll be putting as many as I have back together / up starting tonight. A couple blasts and "no episode this week!" notices will be missing for the meantime. If anyone happens to have the complete set, with the original filenames, I wouldn't turn them down, though.
Appreciate the reply, thanks. I need to hear about if I need the spice!

I'd love to get a hold of them should they go back up. Is there any kind of expected ETA?

I'm still up for it if there's still enough space left. I'm familiar with D&D, but I haven't actually played any 4E yet.My main question is how will the actual game playing occur? I see mentions of play-by-post, but I don't see any definite plans. Or it's possible I missed that part entirely.
And if we need a Defender, I could totally play a fighter or something.
From what I'm aware, it's a play by post game with one night a week of live play. I may be wrong, however

Nice, but you should really post it in Comic Sans, to give it that roleplayey feel. You know, like an old roleplaying scroll?I'll go and get my teabags and candles to make it look like a pirate map

I've made my healery cleric type just now, a dwarf named "Gamlin Grayhammer" (Yes Dwarven alliteration)
How would I go about extracting it as a text doc like you folks?

Sorry to uproot a dead topic, but I've been playing this lately.
Goddamn is it a weird game. The combat is obviously really solid, and I've been digging the hell out of this game. I'd recommend you all play it if you're into really realistic combat sims. What makes it kind of special is just the sheer open ended nature of it though. You literally have a horse, and can go anywhere you want, and do anything you want. Wanna fight off bandits, Seven Samurai style? Go for it
Wanna opress villagers by stealing their cattle? That's doable. Wanna build up a small force, take over a city, take over a castle, then take over the world? That's doable. I'll leave you guys with a story that happened last night which blew my head off.
So I'm on my way to an allied city to deliver a message, when I start being chased down by a set of guys. I initially thought "Oh shit" and booked it, but my paltry 5.4 speed couldn't outstrip their 7(!).
So I get caught up to, and it's the Nords, who as a proud Swadian, I'm at war with. They chase me down, and it's their 60 guys against my 19. I think I MIGHT be able to take it if I'm clever. I run to a choke, and decide to make my stand there. With cavalry charging, infantry holding, and archers at the back, I think I can take it. An enemy huscarl FLIES AT ME and takes me out in one hit. I am taken prisoner.
They didn't get far though with me, being caught in combat with my biggest ally. I escape as he's still in engaged, so I think it's my chance to shine. After a few steps, I figure "Actually, I'm getting in on this fight". I jumped in, adding 1 man to a 60 on 50 fight. I long range snipe and we quickly rout the enemy. Not only did I get my revenge, but I also got my troops back which had been taken prisoner, and had been with me since the start of the game. I also took one Nord prisoner, and subsequently sold him into slavery
Let nobody say I am an unmerciful lord

If I wanted to join now, what exactly would I have to do?

I apologize for being an idiot, but are we playing a 4th edition game? If so, I can ...distribute the 4E players handbook via e-mails and such.

I am eagerly anticipating this. I will create a man at some point soon!

When are you gonna talk about QWOP and grenades rolling down hills:tup:

I'm not keen on the incredibly sensational response on the internet. People explaining where's the best place to sell your PS3, people saying they're "Going to sell their PS3s", that they're never going to buy ANY SONY products ever again.
The situation sucks, but it's no different to having it stolen from any other place. It's just because it's Sony that people are getting so into this.

One could propose a counter-argument that non-native English speakers have already learnt one foreign language, probably with more aptitude than most English-speakers learn any foreign languages (certainly better than I've managed, anyway), and have therefore had more practice at working outside of their home tongue. I imagine it's significantly harder to learn Japanese than to move between European languages, but at least the language centres of the brain have been better exercised. This is all pure speculation, of course, and it probably depends much more on the individual than their nationality, anyway.
But furthermore, imagine a non-native English person learning ENGLISH, then going on to learn a different one. You already learn such a fucked up language like ours, then go on to something like Japanese, you'd have mental brain syndrome

It's not an alphabet (or series of) of letters, moreso an alphabet of syllables, or sounds. There's no strict alphabet, or one you might be used to.
The problems you'll likely have is sentence structure.
Whereas in English, the sentence might be:
"Toblix complains in a bar, with Video Games Rodkin"
The sentence in Japanese would be:
"Toblix Bar in Video Games Rodkin with complains" (or something to that effect)
It changes what you'd be used to, which is Sentence, Verb, Object, Japanese would be Subject Object and Verb.
Especially as (From what I assume), you're already not a native English speaker (Excuse me if this is an excessively blunt observation), you might have a bit of a hard time with how convoluted with how it seems to come across.
If you try hard to learn though, it's not that bad.

That's good to hear that Unwound Future is still going strong, I was wondering myself if there were only a finite amount of these type of brain teaser puzzles that you could do before they get repeated over and over except in different arrangements. Also I see they add more puzzles per game, further milking the amount.I think the marriage of insane brain teasers and the charming story made UF my favourite, really.

I'll post some somewhat sensible thoughts later when I can get my head aroud the ending

I'd like to throw my hat in as a normal player

Hmm, I can't kill the skeletons in 4-1, they are too fast for me. The fat fire tossing man kill me in 2-1, there is one that is over a LOOONG wooden beam, I can't reach him... I know I've tried the prison and the swamp-like area, but I don't remember where I die.I wonder if it's my wizard snobbery kicking in? Maybe I just need a new spell.
Ideally, you need to beat 3-1 (Tower of Latria) and get the Fools Idols soul to create "Soul Ray", a really really strong mage spell. Don't get discouraged at dying so much though. It's just a rough game to get used to! If you have any questions, I'm sure we can all help you out
-
I think I give up on Demon's Souls, I've spent half a day grinding the red guard in 1-1 but I still can't make it to ANY of the next bosses, well I did make it to a giant suit of armor that killed me in one hit.Maybe I can beat this game, but it that means I have to grind myself silly then I'm quiting. People tell me it's easy to gain experience by killing the skeletons in 4-1, but they keep dodging my spells and are just too quick.
Where are you up to? What weapons are you using and character class are you attempting to play as?

I made a blog here about how I'm finding the start.
It's pretty great so far. My only problem is the inability to be able to make my team wear custom armor.

I recently had to replace the touch screen on my DS, because I would use WHATEVER was around as a stylus. It was cheap (8 bucks) and relatively pain free, save for the expense of time. A previous posted commented on shoulder button cockupery, and that can be easily remedied by having a can of compressed air up in there to just blow out all the shit that's worked its way into the system.
Getting a DSi is a good idea if you have the extra cash, but don't feel obliged to, because fixing a DS is relatively easy also
