    It's 4 games into 1, with one of them being made by my favorite game designer Suda51. Hope it gets localized! Though I won't be buying a 3DS until the inevitable revision with 2nd circle pad.

    Not surprised but I was hoping they'd go ahead and announce a new hardware version. I want some of the games that use the ugly addon but don't want to buy a 3DS knowing it's inevitable a new one comes out. That conference seemed pretty pointless save for the MH announcements though.

    All the boss fights were definitely the worst parts of the game. I made it the entire playthrough without killing anyone (except the prologue, which I didn't realize until halfway through the game but oh well) but I did kill the bosses, didn't realize there were other ways to do it. For the first one, if you just keep running away behind cover and shooting, it actually doesn't take that long, I hadn't upgraded any kind of weapon/armor augs at that point in the game. I did die a fair number of times though (actually all of the bosses made me die a lot except the last one).

    Lol. Well I sort of agree. The epilogue at the end of Harry Potter nearly ruined the entire series for me, but maybe, just maybe, a book with him as an adult could rectify it --- or totally and utterly obliterate the entire thing forever. Hmm. Maybe you're right. She should leave it alone.
    Yeah for as good as the rest of the book was, I didn't like that bit very much. While I would definitely read any future HP books I think I'd rather she just move on.

    I think Pilotwings Resort and Steel Diver seem like cool games, but they should be downloadable games I think. I hardly see myself playing them enough to warrant a $40 purchase. Street Fighter is probably the title I'd be most likely to get, but not sure if that's enough for me when I barely play it on consoles. I really want the new hardware but I might end up waiting until there is a game I really want out for it.

    Have you guys considered doing video chat with skype? Isn't that what like GWJ does, they aren't in the same room right? I would think that would help with the talking over each other. I haven't finished listening but can give some full impressions later.

    I think the real ones should be tweeted too, with links to the relevant articles. They are so much more trainwrecky and awe-inspiring than the imaginary ones.

    I was reading the New York Review of Books classifieds section a few months ago—because it is funny that a paper of that caliber would have a personals section—and I stumbled upon this charm that made me think of IGN, because the thumb has deformed me:

    I think the weird hyphen is there because they just dump whatever is laid out for print to the web without scrubbing some of the weird artifacts that that produces.

    hey guys, due to the fact that i'm living in germany, all i would get by purchacing left for dead or the current deal (l4d+l4d2) is a cut version of the game.

    My question is: could anyone gift me the left 4 dead deal (10€, i guess its $15 over there in the US?!) and I send him back his money via paypal. (any other suggestions?!)

    I know I'm relatively new here, but I hope someone could help me in this specific case.

    I think it looks like it could be fun, but not sure I'm willing to shell out for it. I got tired of AC2, even though I played it all the way through, so I'm not sure it's different enough to be worth it to me. Basically I'd be interested in playing the multiplayer, but it's not like I'll be playing it for months like other multiplayer-focused games.

    Finally beat Final Fantasy XIII.

    I guess I wasn't disappointed in the ending, but it could have been better. There were no twists, it was pretty much what you'd expect.

    Also, the reason it took so long was because originally I was set on playing the game with Lightning, Snow and Vanille because they are my favorite characters. But it's basically impossible to play the last chapter without a Synergist, which none of them are (or at least the game was so much harder to the point that it was too frustrating to play). So after quite a while not playing the game I caved and changed my party to include Hope, probably my least favorite video game character ever, and Fang and Lightning. If each character was more equally balanced in that game it would have greatly increased my enjoyment, as the story was actually decent.

    I agree, I think Elizabeth looks kind of weird, but didn't notice that with others.

    Overall though very impressed with the video. I listened to about half of the Giant Bomb interview and I think that answered some good questions. I like how Levine avoided answering whether it was in the same universe, that makes me more curious.

    Want to set up a game for Tuesday? I can't think of anything I have going on that day. I should be free any time after noon Eastern time, so whatever time is best for Europeans (8/9 PM GMT?). I'd be down for either firefight or matchmaking.

    So I created this with Photoshop, another picture I end up doing nothing with? Wrong, i'm going to get it printed and framed, an awesome decoration for my room.

    In other news, the Japanese trip is booked, i've gotten into a new awesome school (That's not really a school, kind of, sort of) and I joined a new badass WoW guild that is clearing the highest end content. Life is sweet. :tup:

    That is awesome, Japan is probably the place I would like to visit most, specifically Tokyo. I've never been out of the United States. :o Also awesome about the WoW guild, I'm hoping wherever I end up (currently guildless) will do stuff in Cataclysm.

    I hadn't been following this game after thinking it was just going to be a God of War clone but after seeing the trailer put out today at TGS I am pretty sure I'll be buying it. It's a long trailer but definitely worth the watch especially if you were previously unsure about this game (though its just cutscenes no gameplay)

    I would consider myself a fan of the Castlevania series, Symphony of the Night is my favorite console game ever and I like several of the other games though no recent console games. Really hope this ends that bad streak. Anyone else interested in this one?

    edit: didn't realize that vid didn't have English subs, replaced it with one that did.
