I really like MI3 too! For what it's worth, Ron said it's still canon on Twitter, which is surprising to me because he previously said if he got to make another game he would ignore the ones he didn't work on. I don't know what this means for Escape and Tales or if this was a thing pushed by Disney but there you go.

I appreciate that the Idle Thumbs instance is still going. I know it's not the most active thing but Mastodon is far more pleasant for me to use than Twitter
-
He even said he was going to announce it on April Fool's Day!

Wishlisted! This looks pretty great. Happy to see those two guys again

Really good interview. Clint seems like he would be difficult to work for though.

Those lava effects!

I'm a bit less excited for this than I was a couple of months ago after how crappy they've been on social media and seeming like they have no idea that non-binary people exist. Maybe they can turn it around in the next year or two before the game comes out.

Could I have an invite? I'm mpklamerus {a} gmail dot com

Thanks for doing this. Being in a smaller server kind of reminds me of early Twitter. It's nice.

I suppose I liked it even though I guess it kind of removes some of the mystery from the recent season and the way it was structured was so much less interesting than the Secret History book but was about stuff I actually cared about. It also kind of ruins Audrey's scenes in the new season for me? So basically that was her life anyway up until the last year or two, and then she was just imagining it was her life? I also hoped something more interesting happened to Annie.
I'm just glad we got that M.T. Wentz storyline straightened out. I was worried that Cooper's messing with time somehow caused it to go away, as setup in the Secret History book, but it turns out Norma just had a stepmother that she called Mom. Thank god for that.
also James apparently had an insane life after season 2.

I would absolutely listen to Danielle and Rob just talk about old sci-if shows again.
Also it doesn't sound like Elite Force was very accurate to Star Trek but I remember it had an expansion and I think the focus of that was just being able to explore the ship from voyager and wasn't really about shooting stuff. No idea if it was any good but that's a thing that exists.

I assumed that Coop went to save Laura because the show mentioned at some point that she's the key to all of this and if the Fireman mentions Richard and Linda to Coop, then he knew that was going to happen and is part of the plan?
But i I have no idea and I'm just guessing.

Of course those things had to happen to get Coop back in position to (attempt to) alter Laura's path. Or is the reality with Pete finding no body, and the existence of Carrie Page, an alternate reality? Or are those things completely independent of one another? And why was the girl at the Roadhouse scratching herself so much? This is my mind today.
I don't know what happened but I don't think it's wiped out. Maybe Coop goes into an alternate universe though? The Secret History of Twin Peaks book has inaccuracies and apparently people questioned Mark Frost about it and he said it wasn't a goof. So maybe the history was slightly altered but not in a huge way?

Just now, UnpopularTrousers said:Twin Peaks is just about the only way Lynch will get a big enough budget to make something, and I'm thus hoping for more things called Twin Peaks. But I'd prefer it if it made an even bigger break from what Twin Peaks has been up until this point.
This is what I want. Episode 8 was one of my favorite things ever and I would love to see Twin Peaks basically being used as an excuse to fund Lynch's art and trick people into watching something they normally wouldn't.

So....uh......see ya'll next season? I hope?

32 minutes ago, Kolzig said:I thought the double header meant killing the warden and then going to Vegas to possibly kill Dougie. They did the first one so they are going to Vegas now.
This is what I think he meant too although I think it ends up with his family being killed and he wakes up, but I hope not.
-
I am probably the only person in the world that enjoyed that Roadhouse scene.

The FBI stuff made me really happy. The Audrey was weirdly disappointing.
Who were the people the two girls were talking about in that last scene? I didn't really understand what was going on there.
-
That was kind of the first episode I've been disappointed in so far. It was pretty short and not a lot seemed to happen? Or maybe a lot did and I just need to think about the episode some more.
EDIT: The more I think about it I think I like it now. I think some things were just a little off putting to me like Richard Horne and the Vegas girls being dumb gag.

Yeah that's because I'm dumb and didn't use the invite link

2 hours ago, dartmonkey said:Yes, I know he killed a guy. But that guy was a dick. Bobby's cool.
Well he killed a guy that pulled a gun out and was about to shoot him. I don't really think that makes Bobby evil.
-
The Bobby stuff made me happy and I guess I was totally wrong about Hastings not showing up again.
I'm assuming when they run the prints on the coffee mug, that's going to alert the FBI as well.

Ok, I made a general Looking for Group game on Roll20 that people can use.
