  1. Our town wanted to put a huge Christmas goat in the style of Gävle goat for some reason last Christmas also. It didn't come as a surprise to me that two idiots went during one Saturday night and burned it. They were recorded on surveillance tape, though I don't know if they were caught because I didn't follow the news enough after that.

Regarding the episode, once again excellently written and performed.

  2. No, this is from Tokyo. There's a company that's illegally using Nintendo's characters and the Mario Kart concept. They are renting costumes and karts to people and driving kart races in central Tokyo. Nintendo has sued them already, but I guess business is still running as witnessed by Jackman's video.

Monster Hunter is coming to Switch! Another 3-4 million sales confirmed and that's just Japan. Even more for global sales.

  3. Pretty cool they have added so much content to Arms, it really is going the same way like Splatoon did a few years ago.

Also, Arms will get free dlc after launch, fighters, arms and other stuff. That's just excellent.

The weird thing about the global testpunch is that in North America it's six days, in Japan and Europe it's only four?

The small bit about Splatoon 2 at the end, it looks like this time they are really expanding on the single player content and the Splatoon lore. That's also really cool, I don't know if I can resist the urge in autumn when I'm going to Japan with my wife and daughter. I might buy the Switch, too many opportunities during the six weeks.

  4. It's a weirdly heavy game. Takes ages to load at start and also before every match. Also the game is a bit sluggish when deathmatch is going on. Seems the Saber tech is quite horribly optimized. One of my friends told me the game crashes often for him even though he has a beast of a computer. I'm not a fan of the f2p elements like getting xp and leveling up even getting your ass kicked in DM, but I don't play modern mp games much at all that so I guess that's just how it is these days.

Was I the only one that noticed when Ed picked up James from the police station, Hawk and Ed did like some secret code-sign where they drew their index fingers over their right eyes?

This was such a cool small detail. On my third viewing of TP ep 2 yesterday I noticed that for the first time myself and also that James mentions the Bookhouse Boys in the same scene and moment.

  6. Watched the pilot two days ago, actually both the US and international versions. I'm also including the log lady intros for my viewing per episode. This is the third time I'm watching Twin Peaks. First was in 2000-2001 when the show was aired for the second time in Finland. I watched the show instead of reading well to my high school end exams. :D

I was just 8-9 years old when the show originally aired so I didn't even know it existed then. Around 3-4 years ago I tried to introduce Twin Peaks to my wife but she didn't really like it. We watched to about halfway to season 2. She didn't really know about the show because in Japan it was a cult thing for small group of people as it was shown only a small cable channel and my wife was just around 10 at that time.

Now my plan is to watch the whole show plus FWWM and the Missing Pieces. I've never seen the Missing Pieces so that's something new for me. I will also listen to each TP Rewatch podcast episode after I've watched and episode of the show. Then I'm ready for season 3.

The pilot was filled with so much fun small details. I thought the hoot hoot in the prison was hilarious especially when Lynch zoomed to Bobby's teeth. Also Bobby's mom with the scissors while on the phone with Laura's mom.

I said it already in Slack, but thanks @Jake and @Chris, this is a cool companion podcast!

  7. Your ass is grass!

Far Cry was such an amazing game. So many small things I loved about it. The later game parts were bad though. I don't think I've ever played it with all settings turned up to max, my computer wasn't that great back in the day. Far Cry even had a special 64bit update patch I think? I remember seeing comparison screenshots.

  8. Completed the remastered version two days ago. I was really surprised to see my game timer in Gog Galaxy state that I completed the game after just four hours of playing. Didn't remember it being that short, but the game is quite short indeed. You can really see that they had to cut a lot of content in the 90's to get the game finished in the tight schedule.

There are some sloppy things that bother me with the remaster, but I really love the remastered audio.

By the way, where's the demo of Full Throttle that Schafer said they found and remastered also?

I'll have to now go through all the commentary audios now as well as concept art and the musics in the bonus menu.
