a console release is in the works but the PC and Linux version will come out first. A Switch, XboxOne and PS4 version will be released a little later if everything goes to plan

We just released a new trailer for Broken Lines, it has more action and gameplay than all the other stuff we have put out before.
It is really exciting for the whole developer team. I hope you like it. Feel free to share any feedback, thanks.

Into the Breach seems to fit the bill. It is almost only combat and really good but super hard

Hi there everyone,
My name is Nis and I work with a small Danish indie game studio called PortaPlay. As a big fan of Strategy games, I'm thrilled to be in the awesome position of working on a game that I would actually want to play, regardless of my job!
So what is this unicorn of a game you ask? What is it about?
Well, it is called Broken Lines, and it is a semi-turn-based strategy game set in World War 2. If you are a fan of games such as the original XCOM and the Banner Saga, you'll find the gameplay of Broken Lines very familiar. However, our game focuses heavily on the story of eight very distinct characters giving you a much more personal relationship with the game and its characters! So, have I managed to pique your interest? If so great, you can learn more about the game by first checking out this short video about the game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr1fVLSC4ao&feature=youtu.be
You can then also check us out on Steam, and when you're there, why not add us to your wishlist!
And we also have a website

I've written your bug report down. Thank you, kind pigeon.

Greetings, we are an indie developer who’s currently working on a turn-based tactics game called Broken Lines. We are looking for anyone interested in participating in our closed prototype testing for PC. The testing will take place at the beginning of 2018.
The game is a story-driven, squad-based tactics game. It’s set in a WWII like setting and it focuses on the soldiers in the squad and their stories, development, and relationships. You can read our description below:
QuoteA squad of soldiers crash lands in the middle of enemy territory. With no leaders alive and no available orders, the group must find a way to deal with their situation and internal conflicts, before a mysterious fog engulfs them and enemy forces hunt them down.
Broken Lines is a game about a group of men with different personalities, ideals, ethical standards and battle plans. Individuals with very different opinions about whether they should carry out their duty - or simply try and survive. You experience their journey from their different perspectives and decide what their goals should be, what they plan, how they carry it out, who will perish and who will survive.
Broken Lines is a simultaneous turn-based tactical game with a rogue-inspired structure. The core-gameplay consists of multiple choice story-events, resource management and missions with pause based planning and real-time execution.
If you are interested in participating in the closed prototype testing, please sign up via this link https://goo.gl/forms/5vHgadjqLdnyeWfy1
The game is inspired by FTL, XCOM, Banner Saga, and Frozen Synapse. The only requirement is that you’re willing to fill out a short survey after playing the prototype. You can also read more about the game here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/broken-lines
